My first time trying to shape a cake. I had never used RKT with/on a cake. There are many things that I learned from this cake & many things I wish i had done differently. I love how the head turned out especially for my first time. The body I made from the barbie mold covered in buttercream icing. The face & hands are covered in fondant. Cape is fondant as well. Thanks for looking.

I made this for a 6yr olds birthday. There was a Darth Vader candle added later. The Death Star was made from the Wilton ball pan. Yoda and Luke Skywalker were made from fondant/gumpaste.

My nephew wanted a Lego Star Wars cake, so this is what I came up with! I melded a few different ideas I had seen on here! I used 10 and 6 inch square cakes to make them look like Legos. I added Lego candy as a border. Light sabers are fondant, the characters are toys.

This was a 5th birthday cake for my son that was inspired by a recent cake from CC member aDBakes. It was a 6" vanilla cake, filled with chocolate ganache and an espresso cream cheese frosting. The cake is covered in fondant, and has both gumpaste and fondant decorations. The Death Star was made out of RKT. Thanks for looking!

These are two 9" round carrot cakes that I made. The yoda is for my husband's birthday and the boba fett is for my brother's birthday (they are a day apart). The icing is vanilla spiced rum buttercream (tasted like egg nog!!). I used the mighy muggs dolls as inspriation. I saw where someone else had used them as inspiration as well and used that (i'm sorry i don't remember their names!) everything is fondant except the shadow's on boba fett's mask and the darker green on yoda. they were both done by hand painting. Thanks. :)

This was my first attempt at making characters out of fondant! I have made animals but never something that had to replicate something exactly to know what it was! Bottom layer is double chocolate fudge with peanutbutter buttercream frosting, Top layer is yellow cake with chocolate chips and vanilla buttercream frosting... All star wars figures are fondant! Thanks for looking!!!

These were chocolate chip cupcakes, with buttercream icing. The figures were chocolate molds, and the logo was cut from fondant. Thanks to everyone for the ideas!

I didn't have time to make Yoda's hands as the mother moved the party from Sun to Sat. Yoda went with my 3D Hello Kitty and both were cake, RCT and fondant. I don't think I'll ever do a cake like these again.

Chocolate mud cake body, with ricebubble cake head. Arms, Ears, hands, feet, and coat all fondant. Totally 100% edible.
I made this cake for my son's 7th birthday - quite pleased with the result, although it was alot bigger than I had intended! Measured 45 cms in height!

Replica of Star Wars fighter ship, was about 40 inches long and wide. My husband made the frame and I used styrofoam and cake to fill in the ship. Figures are molded out of GP. For my 6 year olds birthday party.

This is my DS's 9th birthday cake. It is a chocolate cake with Sionann's Mocha Frappuccino Frosting. The Death Star is RKT's covered in fondant with RI accents. I use my son's Lego light sabers to replicate the laser in the death star. The trees were make by molding fondant around lollipop sticks and wire. I found the cake idea online and and knew this was the one to make for my son.

Yoda was made from the stand-up teddy bear cake pan and covered in MMF. His ears are chocolate. It was the first time I had done a "sculpted face". As with every cake I learned a lot doing this one and can see every mistake. Would definitely do his ears differently and work harder on his eyes. They look kind of dead. LOL! At least my son loved it! Cake done in July 2010
