I made this for a group my DH and I belong to that dress as Star Wars characters. We put a santa hat on him, and he was Santa Yoda.

For this design I used a piping gel transfer method to transfer Yoda from a coloring book. This was my first attempt at a character transfer. My kids enjoyed it.

Cue the music.......DA....DA....DA DA......DA......DADA, LOL. I had so much fun making these. Was asked to make some "old school" star wars cupcakes. Princess Leia, Luke, Darth Vader, Light Sabers, R2D2, C3PO and Yoda. They are chocolate cupcakes with meringue buttercream and handmade MMF toppers.

Modified a picture I found online and replaced Luke with Chewie and the Darth Maul guy with Darth Vader. And yes, I now know that Chewbacca does not carry a light saber.

This was originally meant to be a full body version of Yoda but ended up being a bust version instead. Not my greatest work but I'm posting anyway. In the past I've used RKT for sculpting faces but the client wanted chocolate cake instead. Let's just say the force was with me to make this work at all in the 95 degree weather and humidity. They were thrilled so that's all that matters!

These are NFSC with Antonia74 royal icing. Cookies are cut using Cricut cake. First time making anything to do with Star Wars, they were fun!

I made this cake for my girlfriends birthday. She loves Yoda! She also loves miller Light So I made Yoda using the Force to get the beer. Also She rides a Harley and is Irish, so I included a Harley cupcake and a few shamrocks. Yoda was made out of all cake and fondant and the bottle was sugar with editable labels. Thanks for looking.

Got lots of ideas here on cc-Tx! Biggest problem was that they needed a lot of cake 40+ servings, so everything had to be cake. Made the head tricky. Not exactly what I was hoping for but not a disaster either I guess. 2 8" rounds w/ wondermold atop & ball pan for head. Covered & sculpted w/ MMF. TFL!

Ok, I know now that Yoda has the wrong color light-saber. I have all girls so didn't realize it, but this cake was for a good friend and the 5 year old boys didn't mind....

Taking my love of cooking for people & combining with artistic ability, getting into cake decorating. Self-taught so far but starting basic decorating classes soon. This is my first try at making a sculpted cake. This is the 4th cake I've ever decorated. The 2nd one to involve stacking and 2nd one to involve making and using fondant (1st two were single layer buttercream with piping designs.) Pretty sure I've found my passion! My 5th cake will be another sculpted, haven't decided what yet.

3D Yoda made with fondant. The hair on his head and ears is cotton candy and much to my shame ended up melting shortly after this picture was taken. Live and learn.

I used nettiecakes' design for this one- I hope you don't mind. I had to make a cake for my nephew's birthday who is mad about Star Wars. This design was just perfect and I and he loved it. I just added Yoda to mine as his special request.

This is my second star wars cake based on the brilliant design by nettiescakes. I changed this one slightly by making the back rise higher, and moving the logo to the back of the cake. I did struggle a little to cover this new shape and covered the mistakes in the icing with flames- which I them continued all the way around the cake. Many thanks to nettiescakes for the design.

Yoda is made of yellow cake with chocolate buttercream. His head is made of rice krsipy treats. He is covered in MMF and his ears are gumpaste. Shockingly he even survived a plane ride to FL for my nephew.

This was my entry for Sputnikfest 2010. I had an R2D2 made of 4 6" peanut butter cakes with the ball pan on top. The legs were made of rice krispie treats and covered in fondant. The whole head was hand painted & there is an LED light installed into the cake that swivels. I used an edible marker for all the details and cut out fondant pieces (also hand painted). The small Yoda was made of fondant/gumpaste and was placed on a cupcake for the judges to taste.
