This little boy just loves the Mystic Force Power Rangers, and let me tell you, there just aren't a lot of pics of these guys to choose from on the net. The side detail reflects the visor on the helmet of each Power Ranger. FBCT, airbrushed background, crusting BC, choc. cake w/strawberry filling.

I made this just following completion of course 1. I tried to copy the cover of the "decorating cakes" by wilton. The roses are buttercream, but I damaged a lot of them because I took them all off to start again. I didnt like my original placement.

This is my second fondant cake to ever make...I used MMF instead of the store bought stuff (which is disgusting to eat and hard to work with)! This cake was so much fun to make!

I made this cake using the checkerboard pan set. Unfortunately I didn't get a picture of the inside to show how the checkerboard pattern turned out. I used strawberry filling between each of the three layers.

Here's an 18x24 sheet cake... I modified an idea from another user.... so thanks for that!!! First big sheet cake... I held my breath many times!!! AND, if anyone has a good tip for tinting the icing any easier, please let me know! I think I spent 2 hours alone getting the red and blue just right!

This cake was made for the sixth grade graduation reception at a local elementary school. I wanted to do something a little different so I stopped by and took a photo of the school and the sign out front. The principal thouught it added a nice touch to the cake. The Students loved it.

This is a full sheet cake that was made for a lady who was celebrating her 50th birthday by having a family picnic. The cake was a big hit and it actually held up in the heat. She didn't have any specific request for the cake so I thought I would take this opportunity to practice on my cornelli lace.

This is a full sheet made for a little girls eighth birthday. I folded a napkin from the party decor in half and made two edible images, put them together on top of the cake and added her name and candles. The cake was a success and I was told it tasted good also.

This was my daughter, Adrienne's 3rd birthday cake. She LOVED it. We didn't want to do anything TOO spectacular, because I only had one night to bake AND decorate this cake. I just got the CarBear candles, cut the wick off and used them as figurings for the top. She was just in LOVE with this cake, and went around and asked everyone to stop and look at it. LOL. It's yellow cake on bottom, cookies and cream in the middle and chocolate for the top. Thanks for looking!

This was my first time to do a wedding cake. I did it as a favor to help out a lady at my husband's work. It turned out pretty, but there were some crumbs in the icing that I didn't notice until it was too late. I don't think they stood out to anyone else, though. I made the topper out of gumpaste and put super pearl and super gold dusts on it. All I see are the flaws when I look at it, but the ladies at the reception site thought it was gorgeous, so that made me feel better.

I also made another cake for kicks and giggles. The icing was too soft but for the most part I think it turned out okay. It was auctioned off also at Youth Bake Auction at my church for their mission trip and took a whopping $125.00. Not to bad, considering it was finished with 45 minutes to spare before the service. :)

I had two cake tastings on one day, and thought I'd do it with cupcakes... I put different fillings in each, with three different cakes... I put a symbol on top so I'd know what filling was in each.

My first whimsical cake. It was for a coworker and I decided at the last minute that I was going to do a whimsical cake and didn't think about decor. So I added tylose powder to dry the fondant quicker. Some still weren't completely dry and I knew my coworkers wouldn't care i used toothpicks for the spirals. I also decided since it was whimsy I would free hand the diamonds and triangles.

This is my second cake - both layers (5" and 7") are chocolate with white chocolate bc filling. Covered in fondant, with fondant pearls and gumpaste roses. I can see so many flaws, but if I squint and look at it sideways, I'm really happy with it. My MIL loved it.
