My first paying cake! Thanks to Antonia74 and Kel6470 for the inspiration and instructions. My colleague wanted a winter themed cake that wasn't a birthday cake and not a Christmas cake. 8" 3 layer chocolate cake with vanilla SMBC. RI snowflakes on 18g wire inside a straw. It took so long and almost all the snowflakes broke, but I'm proud of myself for taking it on and doing it. TFL

This cake was patterned after the cake by amyfj1. It was a last minute order, but I am pleased with the results. The cake is all BC, with sugar accents in the presents and yellow heart on tree. The balls on the tree are trix cereal. Collage was created to show details of cake and accents. TFL.

This was for my daughters 13th birthday! She wanted a MadHatter Tea Party! Everything is covered in Satin Ice. The tea cups are not cake - My MIL bought a porcelain tea set to 'help' me out. So I had to use it.. =) This was the first 'topsy turvy' cake that I've made and I think it came out pretty well! No one could believe that it was the cake. I love that reaction! Thank you for looking!

My customer designed this cake and I completed it. I used fondant accents on top of chocolate and vanilla buttercream. It is supposed to represent the 4 card suits and a teapot with an A on it.

My first teapot and first cupcakes. Leave it to me to say yes to18 teacups that had to be completely covered in fondant! I had no idea how time consuming it would be. I wanted to do more, but I'm satisfied with them!

This cake was done for a lady that was celebrating her 25th year as Director for Respite Care. The entire event was based on AIW . All decorations on the cake were hand made with either fondant or gum paste. WASC cake covered in fondant. FUN!! Gotta love these kind of requests!

Cake for a lady's 50th Birthday... was told she liked rabbits and watches! So there was only one option to me.. a white rabbit from Alice in Wonderland! All hand modelled, the only inedibles were the rabbits glasses which were florists wire and a cocktail stick that was in the Red Heart Cards Lance! Hope you like it!

Topsy Turvy cake white bottom chocolate middle rice crispy top.
I made this for one of my best friends baby shower and will never make another! Ok maybe I will, but for a lot of money. Between kids and bad recipes it was killer! But got a few new clients from it!

Alice in Wonderland themed 1st birthday. The large cupcake with carved from 3 6" rounds. Buttercream with fondant and gumpaste decorations. I had tried to make an Alice figure, but I broke my left hand a few weeks earlier and she just didn't look right, so I made the little card guy! TFL

This cake was for my daughters 1st, and niece's 5th birthday party. The Cheshire cat tea pot is a dummy cake....used fondant to cover, and fondant/gumpaste for the handle/spout. The mad hatter's hat cake is four 6" and three 8" cakes stacked and carved...the brim is fondant/gumpaste. The bottom tier is the Queen of Hearts cake...covered in SMBC with fondant accents...the card man, paint brush and paint can are gumpaste/fondant, then painted with gel dye. The writing says "A very merry unbirthday to you!"

I did this smash cake for my one year old daughter....we had a joint party for her and my niece who share a birthday. The party was Alice in Wonderland theme...I did a large stacked cake for the guests and made each birthday girl an individual cake. This was a dairy-free vanilla cake with raspberry filling, with dairy-free PS icing with fondant and RI flowers. I painted their faces with gel dyes.

My fondant nightmare! I had a bad time with this, which is why it has so many little extra things stuck all over it. All fondant/gumpaste (except the letters). I personally don't care for all the frou frou on top, but it's not my birthday, so my opinion doesn't matter. ;-)

Alice in Wonderland 3-tier cake for my daughter's 18th birthday. Blue resembles Alice's dress -we added the flowers to give it a girlish look. Second tier portrays Cheshire Cat's devilish grin & confusing "THIS WAY, THAT WAY, UP, DOWN" signs. Top tier is modeled after the Queen of Hearts who wanted the roses painted red -and so we did! The roses were spray-painted red (with edible paint). Also, hearts & real playing cards were used in the decoration. All is decorated in fondant.

This was a project for my pastry culinary class... We had to make a character from Alice in Wonderland out of marzipan. I chose to do the Mad Hatter at the tea party when bows & removes his top hat there is a fully decorated cake with a lit candle!
