this is the mate to the winnie smash cake. The honey pot was a challenge to cut the fondant, but I think it turned out cute. The bee's are fondant as well.

I made this to welcome my newest niece, Sarah who was born yesterday. It's my second attempt at fondant figures and besides having to do Eeyore twice, (since the first one was a bad color and I wasn't pleased with it) I'm happy with the result. I still wish I could get a bit faster, these figures took a very long time. Ran out of time so I couldn't do Rabbit, Kanga or Roo. Thanks to several posts on cakecentral that inspired me and gave me ideas for the design of this cake.

I finally got around to making a photo with close ups of the figures I made last week to celebrate the birth of my new niece. The ground and tree trunk are white cake with butter cream. The figures are all fondant. I've just started making figures with fondant , these are the 3rd-6th figures I've made. I'm enjoying the medium.

Friends daughter 2nd birthday. My friend purchased and made the cake and I went over Friday night and decorated it. It was weird having people, herself and husband and her mother, watching me decorate it. But I had a fun time with them. Still need to work on getting my stars closer together.

another design i picked up here in CC. i had a tough time choosing because there are so many great ones! this is a chocolate fudge cake iced in white chocolate cream cheese. this combination seems to be my bestseller. i forgot to share that the sides are decorated in piped basketweave plus the "hunny" bee. it was my first time with basketweave and i like it! i didn't make it perfectly but my friend still couldn't imagine how i did it. exactly how i thought which is why it took me so long to give it a try.

Lemon cake with lemon cream cheese filling and lemon buttercream. After taking the picture I redid Pooh's mouth and hand. (just didn't like it and this was the third attempt). Mom wanted pink flowers (oops can't see them in this picture, check the other one), other than that the design was up to me. Ballons made from gumpaste and piped with RI. Honey pot made of gumpaste with royal icing honey.
