I made this cake for my husband's grandfather's birthday. All of the great-grandchildren go over to his house for the birthday and to show off their halloween costumes. This is a FBCT of Winnie the Pooh dressed as Tiger and Tiger dressed as Winnie the Pooh. I thought it was fitting for the occassion. I put the transfer on the cake, let it thaw out, iced the background color to the transfer, let it crust, and then smoothed out the transfer with the background icing. I like the result much better.

A smaller version of a cake I had previously done. I sort of feel like it looks a little overdone this time. I think I should have left a few things off. Oh well! But I will say I had an easy time with the fondant this time (yea!) and I used pearl dust on the fondant and it looks really pretty, but you cant really see it in the photo. The images are chocolate transfers.

I just loved this cake! It was a major hit at the shower! The guest of honor was excited to be able to keep the figurines to set on a shelf in the babies nursery!

This was for my nieces first birthday. It is homemade chocolate cake and buttercream frosting. All the flavors and colors used were natural. There are no dyes. If you can't tell what is in the stream, that is Pooh and Piglet in an upside-down umbrella. That was the inspiration for the cake. This was my first foray into all natural food colors, that is why the water is purple instead of blue. The gazebo was the baby's smash cake.

1st birthday cake with buttercream icing and my very first attempt at color flow. I was worried the color flow picture would disappear into the buttercream so I put it onto a piece of fondant. Not sure whether that was necessary or not.

Done in a classic Pooh theme, parents are expecting a girl. All BC, images are all done freehand. The top layer of this cake gave me such fits! I had a little too much filling and the top layer wanted to slide around. I finally wised up and stuck a dowel through it, but not before proclaiming a few choice words at the cake. LOL

I had a lot of fun with this one! It was for a guy who is referred to as honey bear by his co-workers and he is really big into computers. White cake with Raspberry filling and White Chocolate Almond buttercream. All decorations are buttercream.

This was made for a baby shower where the theme was "Classic Winnie the Pooh " We made a "Hunny Pot" with a baby peaking out of the top of the pot. The cake was all made from Marshmellow Fondant. Great to work with and tastes great! Seals in moisture beautifully.

This is an orange butter cake with orange flavored buttercream. The characters and honeybees are chocolate transfers. I love Merissa's Winnie the Pooh cake and my initial inspiration came from hers.
