This is the first cake I've made for someone I've never even met (it's being collected in a couple of hours), who is the sister of someone else I've made several cakes for. 10" chocolate cake, filled with IMBC and covered with fondant. Her request was for a cake with winnie and piglet figures on it - I hope she likes it! There's also a butterfly on the little girl's name, but you can't see it very well in the photo.

Close-up of winnie and piglet topper. I'm pretty pleased with how Pooh turned out, but Piglet looks nothing like Piglet - oh well, at least his body is recognisable!

Okay, I know. Yet another onesie. I think they are popular now for baby shower cakes. I promise not to post another. LOL I just loved the little Pooh so much I couldn't help myself. I wanted to share. :D

The cake of firsts! My first time working with marshmallow fondant, making a tiered cake, & working with chocolate transfers (love them BTW!!). Thanks to merissa & Nunuk for the inspiration and design! There are a ton of mistakes on this cake but I learned SO much! I can't wait to make more cakes like this! As a whole, this was the first cake that I've stood back and have really felt proud of myself. I love that feeling!

It has a plastic topper b.c they wanted it as a keepsake. The design came from the invite and the colors slightly adapted to better match the toy. Hand carved 1 and custom cut mini cake.

This cake was for a Winnie the Pooh themed baby shower, I wanted to make something unique and different. I used MMF . I made the honey pot solid out of MMF so that the woman can keep it in her freezer for a keepsake, it was her first baby and baby shower.

This was my interpretation of the Bright Blossoms Pooh cake in the 2008 Wilton yearbook. I thought to myself, "why make fondant flowers when I still have flowers from course 2" so I used those and was so happy with my cake. This was the first time I've done a character pan & it was harder than I thought because you have to think backwards. The insert they give you is oriented the same way as the pan but when you flip it...This cake was for Ida, age 15 in foster care- she was giddy when she saw it! NICE!

2 - 8" yellow cakes and 2 - 6" yellow cakes stacked. Covered in bc and airbrushed with yellow & a little brown. I used jel over the top to make it look like drippy honey. The name above the door is the name of the bday boy. Usually at work we write "HUNNY" instead.

This cake is iced smooth with buttercream and accented with MMF. Winnie the Pooh is made by using the Wilton Stand-Up Bear Pan. "Congratulations" was made with MMF and a little bit of gum-tex. Bee and ladybug are storebought. This cake was made for a 10 year old friend of ours who just completed 26 months of treatment for Leukemia. She is now "cancer-free"!!!! What a celebration we had!!!!

This is a wilton character pan covered in fondant. I baked two and trimmed them down in order to make the cake taller (which was a little bit of a pain.) It turned out to be way more cake than this person needs, but they wanted a filling and I couldn't torte this cake well. I saw this idea of using fondant on the cake on another site.

This is for my niece's 1st birthday. The beehive is her smash cake -- a mini-doll pan cake iced in sugar free cream cheese icing at my SIL's request. I thought the healthy icing was nasty but it didn't interfere with Ava's enjoyment of the cake. When we left their house, they were preparing to wash the icing out of her hair, clothes, high chair, etc.:D

My hunny pot was carved and covered in pink MMF because it was for a baby shower for a lil girl. The "hunny is tinted piping gel" and MMF bees are flotaing on floral wire.
