3-D Dragon carved from peanut butter cake with chocolate ganache. I used Chyanna66's tutorial as a guide. The scales alone took almost 4 hours! Scales, eyes, claws nostrils are fondant, wings are gumpaste fused with choclate candy melts.

My son has been wanting this cake since I made the Monsterous Nightmare Dragon cake for his birthday last year. Chocolate cake with BC filling. RKT were used for texture on the dragon's skin. MMF to finish. The tail was made from two styrofoam balls covered in MMF and the wings were actually from a toy dragon. TFL

Fairy Barbie in the birthday girls favourite colours of dark fuschia and purple. I had SO much fun, fiddled around with it for days even before I started baking. I made the wire and beaded tiara and the glittery fairy wings. The cake was a carmel mudcake with caramel ganache. Thanks for all the inspiration from lots of pictures here on CC. Thanks for looking :)

This is a cake that I made for my son's birthday party that was being held at Buffalo Wild Wings. The cake is frosted in BC and the "hot wings" are made from rice crispy treats.

my boyfriend is a HUGE Red Wings fan so I decided to make him this cake. It's carrot w/ cream cheese frosting. I hand piped the wing w/ cream cheese so it's a little sloppy but he still loved it!

The birthday girl's Mom gave me free reign on the design. I know she carries a bag of figures (Disney princesses, Polly Pockets, etc.) with her everywhere she goes, and I've wanted to do a fairy cake for a long time, so I took the opportunity. It was a real hit at the party! 10" fondant-covered cake. Fairies are gumpaste, tree trunk is RKT covered in fondant, and the flowers are fondant. I also used some Disco Dust on the fairy wings. This was a fun, but time-consuming cake to do. Thanks for looking.

The effect on the fondant covered base of this cake represents smoke. The boots and the large red helment are made from marshmellows and krispy cereal. The Angel Wings of course represent the Firefighters of the past, present and future. All of the items on the cake are handmade except the small helments on the front of the cake and the gloves laying by the helment. I used candy molds to create the small helments and used a cookie cutter for the gloves. My son loved it as did his buddies! It was a pure joy to create.

Mama wanted the cake to show her daughter's wild child side, but we needed some angel wings to show her occasional sweet side as well. The inside of the cake was zebra print as well. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get pictures.

carved cake body with cereal treats shaped into the tail, neck, & head. my husband cut a hole in the bottom of my cake board, where i fed plastic tubing through the board and cake, and shaped the neck & head around the tubing (which i then formed the nostrils around). we connected the other end of the tubing to a travel size dehumidifier that visible water vapor streamed from, & thus we had...a smoke breathing dragon cake. it is covered in over 1,600 hand cut green shimmer dusted "scales". wings, teeth, & claws are gumpaste. jewels are rock candy.

My grandson (age 3) asked for a Lego Harry Potter on a flying orange dragon for his birthday cake. Head, neck, tail and legs are rice krispie treats, the body is vanilla cake, strawberry filling and chocolate butter cream frosting under the orange fondant scales. The wings are gumpaste. The cloud is white cotton candy.

Tinkerbell themed cake for a toddler birthday. As long as it had tinkerbell and flowers they were happy for me to do what I wanted. All decoration is fondant; the tree trunk is rice crispie treats. The only non-edible item is the wings. I made fondant wings but they kept cracking. I used some plastic and added edible glue and glitter as they weren?t eating the tinkerbell and tree topper.

I was asked to make a birthday cake for Lorenzo and the cake had to be of his tattoo's! I found the easiest way was to hand paint it and this is my result!

Duck sugar cookies for a baby shower. Duck theme of course. The cookie was dunked in suar crystals after applying edible glue so they don't shake off.

I wanted to create something different than anyone else. Beneath Prudences exterior there is a double chocolate cake filled with raspberry and coconut cream filling. Her wings are created out of RKT. Her claws and tail are made out of fondant as is her entire body with all different color dragees. I think this is my best work yet! I hope everyone likes her as much as I do!

My entry into the "that takes the cake" cake competition - Austin TX 2012 adult beginner division. The part I like most is the Gelatin wings- not easy to make but i think I can make them much prettier next time I make the attempt.
