My customer requested a birthday cake for her daughter who is an up and coming track athlete. She requested wings and wanted to see her cleats! The wings are fondant with tylose powder so the dried timely and the shoe is RKT. A chocolate cake with strawberry filling.

I tried to replicate my daughter's beloved tap shoes for her birthday. It was my first carved cake and I was short on time so not a lot of planning went into it. I just kind of did it on the fly. I used frosting and fondant that I already had and just baked my cake in loaf pans. She loved it!

Original design by pinkicing - Jake's mom just LOVED this design and asked if I could make it into a larger cake. This is an 8inch & 6 inch. Chocolate cake filled with a strawberry infused cream cheese. So yummy! Cake is covered in fondant with fondant accents. Wings were made a few days ahead of time to allow them to firm up.

TFL!

My 7 year-old nephew wanted a "Luke's X-Wing Rebel Fighter." I couldn't find any other examples of it, so I looked at pictures of the Lego version and a model version, and this is what I came up with. I used a 9x13 cake and a few mini-cupcakes carved up to make it. All buttercream, except the guns, which are fondant covered skewers. The Star Wars logo was FBCT.

I made these as a test with my kids to see if I could do them with my son's entire kindergarten class (before trying to manage17 kids and cookies). My 3 yr old did the one on the right, mine's in the middle and my 5 yr old did the one on the left. Rolled chocolate cookies with MMF decorations. My take on Lindy Smith's very cute and colorful owls.

This cake was made for one of my student's sweet 16 birthday. It's a three layer white cake with buttercream icing. The pole were made with white chocolate and the steps were handcarved..To form the curtains in the backdrop, I inserted dowels into drinking straws that bent. I then inserted one crosswise and draped fondant over it. I added some of her favorite things and the presence of the #16 as asked. Mr. Kitty was a representation of her boyfriend as one of her favorite things

I did this cake for a friend's Harry Potter themed birthday. My friend baked the sphere the way she wanted and I decorated. This was my first experience with a round cake and first try at getting the fondant to sparkle! The pictures were taken with a cell phone, so they're not too clear (when she gets me better pics, I'll update).

I made this cake for my son at his request. It is based on his favourite game Tiny wings. It is all cake and the wings, beak and spikes are chocolate. The golden egg balls are made of filled chocolates. They are a bit rough as I was trying to get it done before he got home from school. This is my first ever carved cake.

I absolutely LOVE the new Wilton molds. Yellow cake with cookies and cream filing. Used Duff's woodgrain impression mat for the brown base of the cake. Used the new Wilton fondant and gum past molds for the turquoise fondant. I really like this cake. I think it is very unique. Haven't seen anything like it.

Made for my best friend's husband for his birthday last year. Not perfect and I didn't get a great photo of it, so you can't really tell it's a two-layer cake with fondant and icing piped around the bottom edge. Not perfect, but turned out much better than I expected!

This cake was inspired by country singer, Miranda Lambert, with her lyrics on the top of the cake"I'm just like you only prettier" and her tattoo of the guns and wings on the side it was all hand painted free hand.

Last minute cake done for a 10 yr. olds birthday after original "cake lady" cancelled two days before party. Done to match party invitations. First time to use Wilton's sugar sheets (top of cake-black).......have to say, they are pretty handy.

VERY rushed, last minute cake. I almost didn't even give the cake but I did it for free and the person wasn't expecting it, so we decided to give it anyways. Mostly I just posted on here to show an example of the Hap Arnold Wings. Next time we'll be doing a better job on the rest of it!

MDS made this for me . It was a 9 inch curved round top, iced in BC with fondant. He used my cricut cake machine to cut out the skulls and wings. I purchased the T and covered in stones.
