This is a yellow 1/4 sheet cake with buttercream icing. Yea, I know I still need to work on my roses. LOL!!!! However, the Italian lady and the OBGYN dept. loved the cake.

I based this cake design off one from a WIlton magazine. The bride wanted a very simple cake, all white. Luckily, I originally delivered this cake way early to the reception hall - I had to take the middle tier home to fix (totally re-ice!) after a four inch section peeled right off the cake!

White fondant over fruitcake, baked by the bride (the first wedding cake she'd ever done). Decorated with fondant bluebirds and lab (her dog), custom-made ploymer clay topper (looks just like the wedding couple, down to clothes and hairstyles!). Non-edible pearls. I gotta use something nicer than al foil next time. ;p

I used the faux fondant directions from this site (thank you!) to create this look. I bought an impression mat for the quilting. The bride was thrilled.

This is frosted with buttercream. The white chocolate "lacey" pieces were freehanded and painted with luster dust. I got the idea from another cake on this site and had to try it. Of course, I think their's is much better! But I had fun making it!

This is a cake I did for a couple that was celebrating their 8th anniversary. They wanted it all blacknwhite with roses and lace. So I made 8 fondant black roses lighty dusted with pearl dust. Cornelli lace on top both cakes with a black fondant ribbon on the bottom lightly dusted with the pearl dust. Came out looking like black pearl color. Very pretty! They loved it.

12" sqaure & 8" round. Both double layer, almond flavored white cake with fresh strawberry filling and almond BC icing and chocolate covered strawberries. The Methodis cross & flame done in the chocolate transfer method that Squirrelly posted. LOVED IT & SO EASY! Had to deliver the cake 50 miles away. Top cake shifted on the drive over. Thank goodness I was able to use the Choco Strawberries to hide it. This was probably the most perfect/even cake I did until the drive over. <sigh>

This was the first "wedding cake" I did for my church's 40th anniversary/bridal show. The picture is a bit fuzzy - but it's mostly white with ivory scrolls on the sides, calla lilies, roses and doves.

This cake is still one of my favourites. Although time comsuming with all of the flowers, the white on white is very elegant.

This is my friend and I's first time using fondant. I had one HUGE hole from where it stuck to my counter so we patched it and covered in gumpaste roses. Basically just playing since neither of us have had any training in using fondant. Learned lots of important things though, next time it will be better.

This was my first time making flowers and ribbons from fondant. I made this "dummy cake" for a Bridal Show display that I attended this past weekend.( First time at a Bridal Show too...) I based the design from a photo in a recent wedding magazine.

What a funky wedding! Everything was in black and white with circles...the menus, the vases, tables & linens. I do LOVE a theme!

I was so excited when the bride asked for this cake. Apparently it was Ashton & Demi's wedding cake design last year. It is a design from a Chicago company called "Take the Cake", but I can't seem to locate their website to confirm that?

The tiers are each 6.5" tall. It took 2 of us to fondant and smooth the 5 tiers of 4",6",8",10" and 12". 4 hours to decorate with circles!

This cake was for a couple who wanted a single tier as they didn't have a lot of guests or funding. Instead of making a very plain cake, I added the vines & other details. I was very nervous when they came, incase they didn't like it, but they did! Thanks for looking!

This was my first time to try draping, and also my first time making roses since the Wilton 3 class. I made more roses after I made these, but I guess the color settled in these overnight, so the roses didn't match, even though it was from the same batch of fondant -- so I had to strategically arrange the ones I already had. I love, love, love this cake. Everything is MMF.

My husband just started a new job 2 weeks ago, and they heard that I do cakes. They now want to order a cake from me for every birthday in the office. There are approx. 15 employees! This is the already the 2nd cake that I have done for them. It is a 9" round white cake with chocolate BC filling and BC icing. It was quick and easy. I do struggle with coming up with ideas for men's cakes, but I think this will work.

Thanks for looking!

This cake was done for a friend of my cousin. I didn't really have an idea so I decided to try this bassinet. It didn't come out as well as I had hoped but I guess it was O.K. By the time the cake made it to the shower, the mother had made it to the hospital. The little girl decided to come early...they put the cake in the fridge and ate it when mother and baby came home.

I wasn't planning on making another Poppy Seed cake so soon after making the first one but this is the favorite cake of a co-worker that was recently diagnosed with Breast Cancer and I wanted her to have one before she had to take time off for surgery.
