I did this cake this past weekend it turned out ok. I need alot of practice on my writing. It is a yellow cake I substituted veg oil for peach flavored applesauce everyone said that it was very moist and had a great taste. The roses are made of royal icing and the rest is buttercream. Everyone said that it was beautiful but I think it could have been better got a lot of practice to do before I am even close to some of the cakes that I have seen in here

What was Sleeping Beauty dreaming of for those 100 years? What if she had been reading a book of fairy tales before she fell asleep? Her world melts down into the top of Cinderella's castle, which is in the clouds of Snow White's forest, which rests atop the Little Mermaid's world under the sea. As you can see, each princess is asleep, dreaming of their own true love. ( fondant/ beginning of idea from Debbie Brown's Sleeping Beauty)

This was my first wedding cake. It's iced in BC of which I'm not use to so I had a real hard time smoothing it out. All in all though I was happy with the way it came out.

10" 2 layer strawberry cake, BC icing, white chocolate shells, gumpaste gardenias.
Once I got it all decorated I wished I had gone with either gardenias on white or seashells on blue... both just seemed like a little too much. It was Mom's birthday though, and she loves both so that's what I did. I just saw a similar set up with flowers displayed in a vase... wish I had gone that route... next time :)

First and last wedding cake. Used IMBC and bride ordered pure white linens. Cake looked like it was frosted in Mayo! Gross! Donated my black back drop and made a big difference. Square cakes are the kiss of death. That and black IMBC sweating onto the white IMBC after it came out of fridge and hit Houston humidity and the K of C poorly air conditioned hall! Aughhhhhh! Never again!

I designed this cake to match the plates I found at Pier 1. I used a tumbler and a wine glass from the set to hold up the two smaller tiers. The curtains in the background came from Target, what a coincidence! This was a display cake for a wedding show. I made the poppies out of gumpaste with black stamens. I was really pleased with the result and it was fun to do.

I saw this in the ACD magazine simple and elegant, I had to make it, although I used rolled buttercream instead of fondant, and the flowers are gumpaste.

Black and White Wedding Cake (dummies) decorated for a Bridal Show. I chose the Stems Illusion (thank you to the original designer) design and as the venue theme was black and white I made the Calla Lilies black. Made miniature favors in black and white also with a miniature lily on top.

I was asked to make a cake to feed 200 two days before the event so I baked and iced this all in one day. The decorations are leftover royal icing and fondant flowers I had from other cakes. The icing is cream cheese buttercream that I swirled around to make it look fluffy.

My first attempt A dummy cake was used to play with the tips and check consistancy frosting. I had 3 days to the last minute wedding
I wasn't totally happpy with it. The frosting kept breaking on the swags.

In the end it looked ok I used silk flowers and pearls on the cake for sake of time. seeing how no one had cash or the bawlz to attempt it in the first place there was no complaints. Cake for 60 went like a flash to about 45!
Thank you for all the hints and ideas.

ps I also made the topper

So this is for my husbands birthday, the sides are tiled with white chocolate and the top are white chocolate tiles painted with Happy 33rd. My oldest sons friends thought it was "cool!" that is a big compliment coming from 13 year old boys.

This was my first tall wedding cake with pillars. The swags are made from white chocolate roses lustered pearl and blue. I was very dissapointed to hear that it started to lean and the caterer took it apart before the reception started. I guess I definitely need more practice on the construction part of it! Thanks for looking!

2nd ever wedding cake. 1st stacked cake. 10 inch base & 6 inch top layer. Both caramel mud cake with caramel ganache layers. Covered in fondx with gumpaste roses. Matron of honor (considerably older than the bride) ordered this with very little information, she liked a pic I had of a similar cake but wanted swans and a bow. Personally not keen on either of these additions but its what she wanted. All feedback welcome and appreciated.

This cake was created for a 50th wedding anniversary celebration. The couple did not have a cake when they got married, so their children decided to surprise them with the cake.

I made this cake for a wedding shower party held by my DIL-to-be for her friend that is getting married. There have been several showers but no special cake at any so I was asked if I could make something pretty for the bride for this one. Her colours are icy blue and white. First time I did a monogram...press for 1st and last initial..middle freehand. I am delivering shortly...Not sure the blue is exactly right but I think it turned out quite pretty

This cake was made in less than a 24 hr period. It was a rush for someone who was leaving town and needed a cake to take to a chef's house in PA. "No pressure there".

It is a 9" Chocolate fudge cake torted to 4 layers with White Chocolate Buttercream and raspberry filling.

Chocolate buttercream and Ganache and Chocolate curls.
