Two layer white cake, buttercream filling, Satin Ice fondant, buttercream piping and FAST dots! Wanted to try a fondant other than Wilton's. Like the flavor of the S. Ice....and it was easy to work with. I still don't like the fact that when I cut my fondant cakes, the fondant separates from the buttercream iced cake side. IS THIS NORMAL??????

Rebecca sent me a picture of a wedding cake with fresh flowers on top and asked if i could do it all in icing. The cake is three tiers or white mudcake, cut to a vase/bucket shape, covered in buttercream with buttercream roses and gumpaste leaves. She loved the cake. The roses were done with strawberry buttercream, the scent was really lovely, everyone at the reception commented on how lovely the cake smelt.

This is a carrot pinapple cake with crusting cream cheese frosting. White chocolate shells dusted with luster dust. It was pretty much one disaster after another! First my cake pans overflowed then my icing would not crust... ARGGG. Anyway it turned out ok and was a big hit!

This was a 12"x18" half white half chocolate sheetcake for an Eagle Scout celebration. It is iced in 1/2 Crisco 1/2 butter buttercream. The Eagle Medal is paper wrapped in a piece of Ziploce. Couldn't get it turned into an edible image in time.

This is my finale cake from Wilton Course III. It is the regular 10" and 6" tiered cake with fondant roses, but I decorated the sides with white chocolate cherubs...an idea I got from Cake_Princess. Thanks CP!

White cake, white buttercream icing, royal flowers. Customer didn't care what I did, so I practiced swags, etc. Added more color than I usually do with my white cakes. I need to get out of the BOX!!!

I made this for my oldest son back in 1996 when Power Rangers were all the rage. The fastest way to clear the playground was to yell "Power Rangers are on!"...boy did they all run home or to the closest TV set. This is from a character pan but the directions did not include the White Ranger so I had to free hand using my son's stuff doll as a guide. This was probably one of my very first cakes.

My first tiered cake. I've been asked to make the cake for my nieces wedding next spring. It's a coconut white cake and white buttercream icing. The centerpiece of the cake is lilacs and some baby's breath. I made a mold for the white fondant pieces on the bottom layer.

Since I have just started the Wilton 1 class, I haven't learned how to make flowers yet so I just used some leftovers from my daughter's bday party hat project. We made hats and the girls got to decorate, but I digress. I'm new to this so go easy on me. Will say this was one of the better cakes I've eaten and family commented about that too. Extracts and puddings work wonders! I hope I can recreate something similar when I learn to make flowers.

I needed to practice a cake for tomorrow's Course 1 Clown cake. I tried to do scroll work on the top and it just didn't work out so I blended the icing all together in swirls and called it a day. A cake disaster turn around, though I could still have added "something" in the center to balance it all out. Oh well. I'm ok with it.

Just finished this one. Bottom tier is a vanilla buttercake with vanilla buttercream filling, top tier is a chocolate buttercake with chocolate buttercream. 6inch top, 10inch base. Roses made with white chocolate paste, and bars on the side are solid white chocolate. The bride wanted the cake to tie in with her pink theme and that is why there is pink artificial flowers and the ribbon on it. Not happy about the artificial flowers, and just didnt have time to make them in sugarpaste.

White, MMF icing and flowers, BC leaves and piping. 10/8/6" tiers. Found this idea in the Wilton 2002 Yearbook. This is my first experience with MMF~ and I love it. The cake has 60 fondant roses on it. This cake is for a bride who is a prosecuting attorney for the US government. She's NOT a girly-girl....but is getting a girly-girl cake!!! LOL

I made this for a friend's baby shower - white cake with strawberry cream filling & cream cheese icing. I used the crusting recipe (great success in the past), but it was actually 80 degrees here in TX in December (believe it or not!!!), so it sagged just a tad. I enjoy the simplicity of it. Thanks for looking!

This cake is a copy of one of "mycakesandmore" cakes. She PM'd me to see if I could do this cake for a lady who contacted her through her website. The lady lives close to me. I was flattered that "mycakesandmore" recommended me. She's a sweetheart! Thanks a bunch Jenn!!

Very simple, just royal icing snowflakes sprinkled with sparkling sanding sugar...then I added some Swiss dots because it seemed a bit TOO plain!

This was my class final for the first course I did. The pictures don't do it justice I find. All white wedding-ish type cake. Royal icing. Cornelli lace on the top and within the garlands on the sides. White roses on top with silver foil leaves.

Project in first gumpaste class. White rose and rosebuds. Used the Wilton fondant large 5-petal flower cutter and varied the petal sizes/styles with the rolling tool. Liked this method WAY better than with the Wilton gumpaste rose cutters.

This was for a formal graduation party...Black & White was the color scheme...The guest of honor wanted the cake to look like the center pieces which was a tower of white boxes wrapped in a black bow (You sort of get a glimpse of it in the picture) It was a 5 tier cake with Kaluhua Rasberry Cream filling (yum yum!) Bow and cake all in Satin Ice Fondant. Any suggestions more than welcome!!! Thanks
