this was the first wedding cake that I have made, all buttercream roses. The teal blue was the color of the bridesmaid's dresses. I still need lots of practice but we are getting there. They really liked the cake. comments welcome

My friend asked me to do her bridal shower cake and since I had never made, I thought I'd make a practice cake. I ended taking it to work and made a lot of coworkers very happy :o) I also saved a couple slices to bring back home for my hubby. The bottom cake is a white vanilla cake. The top cake is a caramel cake. I filled both cakes with whipped vanilla pudding, very nice and light. I used Wilton's BC frosting for the icing and the decorations. This was the first time I painted the inside of my piping bag.

This is my FIRST wedding cake & I am so glad that it was a small one. The mother ordered it two days ago as a suprise for her daughter who is getting married tomorrow in a small quick ceremony. She wanted her to have a cake. The only thing she told me was something ivory w/white borders and maybe celtic knots if I could do something with that. I used the triskel because it looks like scrollwork and I could easily duplicate it. Hope she likes it. oh, and all b/c icing 8" & 4" rounds.

The photographer was crooked, not the cake! Wanted something less formal to give as a gift the next day, but also wanted to use up my roses. Would have preferred to do pink and purple roses in slightly darker shade of cake covering, but not enough time for this purpose. Thanks for looking and sharing comments/critique.

I did this cake before for a farewell. Someone saw it on my website and asked me to do it for her Mom's 70th birthday. White cake with almond icing. Crusting buttercream cherry blossoms, thanks to CC for the recipe.

The cake was pictured at an angle so you could see the White Rabbit on the front, but I think you can still see the top picture okay. Everything was done with buttercream, and a lot of it was applied with paintbrushes & toothpicks. Thanks for looking! :D

I made this graduation cake for my sister-in-law who was graduating from high school. Pom poms, cap and diploma made with marshmallow fondant. Cake iced in buttercream. This is the second cake I've ever made for an event and I learned a lot by making mistakes this time around. It was a lot of fun to create. But, I was so happy yesterday to finally have it finished.

Did this for my birthday last year ... no one else was going to do me a cake so I thought I'd try this out of Debbie Brown's book. It's cute - I put a few animals in but other than that followed her instructions. It's all fondant!

This is a 6" anniversary cake for my boss and his wife. I have a heck of a time getting the icing smooth. That's why it's buried in roses. I hope it was because I had just thinned the icing too much.

I made this for my students for an end of the year party - they thought it was neat. It is a chocolate cake (w/ cake extender) and cookies and cream filling (ala Whim. Bakehoue) so yummy - with White as Snow Buttercream.
