This is for the daughter of a lady I work with. It's chocolate cake with BC icing and fondant accents. The bottom cake was inspired by scrapbook paper. :) Whatever works, huh?!

This was a sugar cookie with antonia74's RI. It was my first time using this recipe, and I was very pleased with how well it worked for me. This was taken from a goofy angle so the flash wouldn't it the plate... sorry!

10, 8 & 6" cakes, iced with traditonal buttercream and covered with fondnat. Followed the tutorial from CC. Do what it ways! See the wrinking on the bottom? That was an indication of things to come! Lots of fun to do but it uses A LOT of cake to get this effect. The customer sent me the pic from The Pink Cake Box and this was the result.

I saw Antonia74's cake, and thought I would try it. Mine certainly isn't as nice looking, but it was fun to try!

all deocrations are in decorator icing. I learned a hard lesson on this one. I put the black diamonds on and the next morning each diamond had a nice pink stripe running from the bottom of the diamond down to the border. There was nothing I could do but take each one off and redo them the morning of the wedding. I almost cried. Also I think the silver dragees were a nice complement to the colors.

10, 8, and 6 inch tiers angled in. Covered in fondant with royal icing daisies. I Made this cake in Jan 07 and it has gone to every show with me. I have to replace the daisies after every show because everyone feels the need to poke at them and break them off!

A wedding planner asked me to design a cake around these colors for her booth at a bridal show over the weekend. I was not really sure what to do to make it "completely off the wall" as she suggested. This is what I cam up with. It is a dummy completely covered in MMF. Sizes 12, 10, 8, 6 with gumpaste "N" on top painted in luster dust mixed with vodka. I really had a great time making this one after I got going.

This is my first attempt at a fondant cake. I used a simple fondant recipe that took a few times to learn to cook just right. It is white cake, with strawberry filling.

I just turned golden this June. I thought my cake should best describe me---cake artist, bold and whimsical, free-spirited, different and funny. Everything is edible and made of fondant and gumpaste, except for the "kitchen-aid" mixer, which was carved from styro then covered with fondant. This cake came with a cupcake tower which I will post separately.

A 4, 8, and 12 in. cake covered in bc with fondant accents. Did the draping effect around each tier and made the bows to stand up. It was for four kids birthdays at the same time, so we thought they would all like this. I also made four individual cakes and if the pics turn out ok I will post them later. Thanks for looking!

This was a really fun cake to make, and it went much better than the last TT I made. I had to transport this cake fully assembled b/c the dad was meeting me halfway...so this cake travelled for 2 hours and held up fine! Phew!! The top tier was a dummy tier, with a "16" on the top.

This cake was inspired by a cake made from Courtneyscustomcake the URL for the cake is http://www.cakecentral.com/cake-photo_709383.html I like to give credit where credit is due. Okay so I wanted to make a beautiful cake for my brother he's turning 25. I was gonna do a naughty picture but my mom thinks baking is just a hobbie & can't be a profession. Now before anyone gets mad like I did, she's very very old fashioned so I can't argue w/ her except prove her wrong. This website & my husband are my real only inspiration. :o) so let me know what u think. The cake was iced w/ BC & the bow & everything is fondant. :o)

This is so much fun! No wonder people love making these cakes. The wire is inserted into a straw and not touching cake. The M is made from royal icing covered with cake sparkles. Thanks for looking.

This cake was a challenge -- thanks to jdogga for the color scheme and kakekrafts for the design. I told my daughter to pick out a cake & she choose two to combine. Flavors (from bottom) are white chocolate raspberry, french vanilla, snickerdoodle, hummingbird, & red velvet (top 2 tiers). All iced with buttercream & covered with fondant. This was my first fondant wedding cake. It was a little lopsided, but it was outside & extremely humid here (Houston). My daughter loved it & that's all I wanted!

This was my son's first birthday cake. I've been wanting to do this style cake since the day he was born and finally the day came! I'm satisfied with the way it turned out... many things went wrong but I learned from them... not sure if I'll ever attempt this again (maybe for $1000 haha)... his matching smash cake is in front.

For a friend who loved my other tiki cake, but wanted LOTS of chocolate and topsy-turvy. I fell in love with modeling chocolate! Used it for the tiki gods. Then used candy melts to pipe the face details. Pirouette cookies around the base, lots of chocolate buttercream and whipped ganache. Gumpaste hibiscus on top. A little gold luster dust on the tikis & plaque.

This was all based on the 'B-Dazzler' jewel craft tool. These girls were throwing a surprise party for one of the gang, and we wanted something eye catching! I love doing these cakes, they're so fun! The jewels are not real, but everything else is fondant.

I couldn't be more proud of how well this came out! Not only was this my first tiered cake, but it was also my first Whimsical/Topsy Turvy cake...AND my first time using fondant!!! I am so excited! The inside is White Chocolate Pound Cake w/ Chocolate BC and I used Rhonda's MMF recipe for all the rest. This is for my MIL's birthday party tonight, and she has no idea that I'm bringing a cake...I hope she loves it!

This was actually a birthday cake, but I think it would make a cute wedding/shower cake, with the couple's initial(s) on top. My first adventure with wired decorations.

My first attempt at wired decorations. Some bulging (from settling) on the bottom layer - in retrospect, I'd have supported the top layer better. Fondant (SatinIce) tinted lime green and brown. Top layer: toasted coconut cake with pineapple filling. Bottom layer: chocolate cake with raspberry filling.

Bottom tier was strawberry wine cake and top tier was chocolate fudge both with fondant. This was for a lady who really was not happy about her 40th birthday and her best friend who was throwing the party wanted something fun and light -- nothing over the hill.
