Here's my first wedding cake, done for a wedding tonight. White cake and buttercream icing and flowers. 12 inch on the bottom and 8 inch on the top. The bride loved the White Roses cake by Hockeymom, but wanted pink and yellow, so this is what I came up with. There was a topper that I put on once I delivered it, but I forgot to take my camera with me.

Buttercream "wrapping paper", and gumpaste bow. This was my FIRST attempt with gum paste, and I think it turned-out okay. The gift tag was done with gum paste as well.

I was asked to do a turquoise and brown wedding cake, at first I thought that is going to be so ugly. I just couldn't picture it together on a cake, although I know it's the new colour combo as far as fashion goes. Let me tell you I wasn't excited about doing this cake. This is just the top tier (6x6) and it's a tier on tier cake (bottom is 10x10). I couldn't put it together because the wedding is 400km (200mi) away. This is the first fondant bow that I have ever made so I hope it survives a 4 hr ride

This is my cake entry from the Mid-Atlantic Wedding Cake Contest. The theme was four seasons and you were allowed to pick only one season. The fisherman knit sweater was done by braiding spaghetti thin pieces of fondant. The Burberry plaid wasn't difficult just very time consuming.

Inspired by a cake by NottawaChelle. I didn't know how I was going to make a nice brown and beige cake. I saw her picture and had to try it! I think it turned out nice.

Cake was designed from a photograph of a cake done be Wendy Kromer (for Martha Stewart). What a nightmare this was! Cake covered in fondant, the strips of fondant were cut and punched to replicate eyelet pattern, and adhered to the sides of the cake. Overpiped eyelet patterns w/ royal icing. Top "crown" was done out of fondant.

This is a dummy cake I made for the Mid-Atlantic Cake Show - Wedding Competition. The cakes are covered with fondant/MMF mixture. The topper is a sugar mold and the flowers are gumpaste. The double hearts on the table were formed using a candy mold and fondant/MMF mixture. The small square cake was real (needed edible for tasting) and also covererd in fondant/mmf mixture. I found picture of poinsettia and used pin prick method to transfer design and then piped over design with royal icing.

These cakes are all white cake with buttercream icing. The triangles of blue icing were made by making a stencil with wax paper. The heart designs in the middle of each drapery were done with a press. This was my first Wedding cake and I am pretty proud of it. The bride and groom loved it and they had a guest that contacted me about doing his son's wedding and groom's cakes in late July.

This is the wedding cake that I did for my best friend in Utah. Our family drove from Texas to make a cake for her. I made this cake in about 1 1/2 days. I used mostly round cake pans and encircled it at the bottom with the little hearts.

This was my wedding cake. I started it the night before I got married and finished it the morning of my wedding. We had a really small wedding at our house and I still wanted an impressive looking cake. Although this isn't exactly what I wanted I was still pleased with the outcome. We got married in December and I thought the candy canes on the wedding topper tied it all together.

The bride wanted pearls/dots everywhere! She even wanted a custom topper of fondant pearls and roses. Handmade pearls brushed with luster dust. Stand from www.cakesbysam.com.

This is the front view. The color is off a bit. The roses are burgundy fondant, and I've paired that with painted Royal Stargazer Lilies. I was soo proud when I finished this cake. I only wish there were more classes to go to. I had a blast.:D

This is my first stacked cake that I have ever used dowel rods in before. Bottom layer is a double layer 10", middle layer is double 8", and top layer is a double layer 6". Iced in all buttercream icing and the roses are all silk. I had to transport this cake to a resturant and I had to stack it and put the borders and flowers on it when I got there, I was sooo nervous with everyone watching me my hand was just a shaking, I couldnt hardly do the shell borders, LOL. It was a real big hit everyone loved it!

This cake was made for a couple's first anniversary. It is made using double layers of the Wilton mini-tier set, in a stacked construction, the icing is finished with a stucco effect. It is a mini version of their wedding cake, as replicated from pictures of that cake. Let me just say...if I never do another cake like this it will be too soon. I was horrified in taking it to the lady, I thought it was the ugliest thing I had ever seen! But, to my relief, she said it was just beautiful, "perfect".

My first wedding cake. Vanilla sponge cake with caramel filling. The cake is covered in buttercream. Rose petals are atificial. Was very nervous about doing this as it was the first time I've ever tried stacking a cake using dowels.

I have to laugh when I look at this cake I did for my bro's wedding. Done about 15 yrs ago before I had barely any experience in deco'ing at all! Never took a class (still haven't except for Wilton course 1), just learned from a book, trial, and error. This was done in all BC. Sheet cake with hand drawn fan in BC to match. (There were actually two full sheet cakes like this). Wish you could see the tulle fan topper on the tier cake. I finally found the photos so thought it would be fun to upload...hee hee

So, the vines aren't blue, but the name sounded right to me! This cake was so much fun, because the Bride & Groom only specified "vines with blue & white flowers", and then allowed me to do whatever I wanted with it! So, it was a lot of fun! Check out some of my other work at www.OCakes.com, thanks for looking! =)

3-Tier chocolate wedding cake with raspberry filling in tiers 1 and 3 and peanut butter filling in tier 2.

The front side of the cake includes Shakespear's Sonnet 116:
Let me not to the marriage of true minds
Admit impediments. Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove:
O no! it is an ever-fixed mark
That looks on tempests and is never shaken;

14", 10" and 6" red velvet cake with crusting cream cheese buttercream. Piped out about 1,000 loops. After I put it together I noticed that I missed the marks to align the columns.
