From today! The cake was a tier of Sweet Lemon with fresh raspberries and Dark Choclate with Grand Marnier. Yum!! The fondant is actually the palest pink, hard to see.

This was my first "official" wedding cake for a relative of our son-in-law. The ivy was supposed to be smaller and on the practice cake the ivy was wrapped tighter around. But all in all it turned out quite nice. The bride was happy with it so that's all that mattered!

This is an almond pound cake 4-tier wedding cake. I used almond flavored bc icing with a band of fondant at the bottom edge of each tier. The flowers are silk. The wedding theme was "Hawaiian Beach Party" so brightly colored flowers were used.

This was done for a wedding shower. I used a 6inch and a 10inch cake...carrot with cream cheese filling. The lilies were made of royal icing. I used a impression mat to do the diagonal on the cake. Also made fondant pearls rolled in luster dust ahead of time. Thanks for looking. :)

This cake is a "test" cake for my wedding in June. The icing is all buttercream. I've only been decorating cakes for a month to six weeks.

This was yesterday's wedding cupcakes. They had a blend of Dark Chocolate and Tahitian Vanilla in gold foil papers. The top cake was for cutting and it was both Dark Chocolate and Vanilla layers inside.

Thankfully, the first wedding cake order I had was quite simple...meringue icing with beaded borders and fresh orchids! It was a heavy bad boy, but it made it in one piece!

My fondant nightmare wedding cake all finished for today. 10" Strawberry bottom layer w/strawberry filling, 8" chocolate middle layer w/raspberry filling, and 6" golden vanilla top w/lemon filling. Fresh flowers using flower spikes generously given to me from an extremely generous lady~Thank You Tina! I also made a small side cake w/fondant. I made the little flowers using gumpaste and a tiny flower punch cutter. SO fast to make a lot at once!

I got the idea from a webpage. I don't remember if it was this one. That's my first try to make basket weave. The Groom and the Bride and also the guests loved it. it is chocolate cake filled with a strawberryjam/whippedcream mix. I don't know how it tasted, because I wasn't fast enough to get a bite at the wedding.

This is my first wedding cake. My sister-in-law wanted something "elegant" and simple...I guess it would have been simple if not for all the roses! This was my first try at roses. They are made of royal icing.

I'm pretty happy with how this cake turned out except for the scroll-y things on the bottom layer. Oh well, too late now! I'm so glad to be finished with the classes and am anxious to bake more cakes!

This was the first wedding cake I've ever done. I just finished setting it up and I'm anxious for the big day tomorrow! As nerve racking as it was I'd definitely do it again!

There are royal icing roses all around the top of each cake (probably jsut under 200). The roses are white with 1/3 tinted purple and another 1/3 tinted yellow. There are tiny doves on the cake and the rose buds on the top and in the middle are silk. Thanks for looking!

The Big Day finally arrived and I was able to pull off my own wedding cake. Thank goodness I kept it simple.
The botom layer was coconut cream, middle layer lemon, and the top strawberry. I torted each layer with pudding. The icing was all buttercream.
I learned so much by making this cake.
I hope it meets Cake Central standards for a non-professional.*S*

I did two practice wedding cakes before I did this cake. I was very pleased with the outcome of the official cake. One side cake was choc with rasberry mousse, the other side cake was white with strawberry mousse, the 14" was choc with choc mousse, the 10" was white with strawberry mousse and the 6" was choc with choc mousse. I did all the flower arrangements for the cake as well.

This is a cake I made for my in-law's 50th anniversary party. It didn't turn out anything like I envisioned. If it could go wrong, it did. I intend to post all that I learned from this later, after I recover from the 3 week sprint to get it done. It is white cake iced in buttercream and dusted with white cake sparkles and gold luster dust. Some of the flowers were fondant, others were silk. I think all ended up ok, but not my best work.

This cake was made for the Henna ceremony, which is performed a week before a wedding, among people from Morocco and Yemen. This custom was adopted by Jews from North African origin.

I made this for my Mom's 75th birthday. The cake is orange with a vanilla mousse & mandarin orange filling. Homemade fondant covers each tier. The roses are also fondant except at the very top; those are bc. The heart is made of light and dark pink inlaid fondant.
PS: The celebration was fantastic and the cake was a success!
