This is a closeup of the topper on Golden Wedding Cake I did in December.
I took this picture at home and then added a few more roses once I had the whole cake set up. It was a little difficult to do, as the roses had to be very close together. The roses were not fragile, but I did have a fair amount of breakage.

I made this cake for the final class in Wilton's Course Three. I like it with the heart cake on the bottom and the round on the top.

I based this cake design off one from a WIlton magazine. The bride wanted a very simple cake, all white. Luckily, I originally delivered this cake way early to the reception hall - I had to take the middle tier home to fix (totally re-ice!) after a four inch section peeled right off the cake!

This was my very first wedding cake, and lucky for me it was my best friend...she didn't care that I changed designs at the last minute! I had just taught myself to make daisies, so used the colors that matched the ones in her bouquet, and added lattice-work on the sides inside the garlands.

I based this cake off another I had done that was three tiers...she wanted the effect of lots of roses, so she got lots of roses! Although they are far from my favorite flower, I enjoyed doing these - they are in royal icing, and seem easier for me to make than with buttercream.

This was my second wedding cake ever. I made it for my husband's cousin, and it served over 400. The first wedding cake I made served 50! It is a pale pink flat icing with white cornelli. I ended up doing all the cornelli decorating on-site in two hours while my husband patiently stood around waiting to help me stack it. The star-gazer lillies really set this cake off.

This is my first wedding cake. It is based on a Wilton design and the bride wanted the same color morning glories. Flowers are made with royal icing and sprays are handmade. The cake was fudge marble and the filling was chocolate ganache with Godiva Chocolate liquor. I also used my own almond buttercream.

I used the faux fondant directions from this site (thank you!) to create this look. I bought an impression mat for the quilting. The bride was thrilled.

I obsessed about this cake for months! The bride and groom bought the Pocket Dragons and wanted a cake to go with them. Ultimately, after looking at dozens of cakes, this one is modeled after one in Lindy Smith's "Celebrate with a Cake" and Earlene Moore's castle cake instructions. It is also very much like the wedding invitations. Except for the dragons and the drawbridge "chains" everything is some form of sugar. The bottom tier is a full sheet cake. The towers are modeling paste over pastillage.

This was a dummy cake made with royal icing. The flowers are silk for durability, but would be made for a real cake with gumpaste.

This is my first tiered cake. I used the Wilton's fondant (yuck), but very easy to work with. The cake was yellow with buttercream. I enjoyed making the fondant roses.

This cake used the same shells as my previous one, only this time I used luster dust to color them and kept the cake white.

I almost forgot about this one. I made this for my Brother's wedding, kind of like a groom's cake. It is stacked concentrical rings, 18 total, made from an almond paste dough. Each ring is securred with a simple sugar frosting, thin to get the "squiggles" to drape frem betweent he layers.

Each layer is a different flavor. Pearls were made with white chocolate paste.
I also used Test Tube oil candles in the center of the flowers

This was my second try and everyone from CC was a big guide for me... I added the flowers and it looked so much better... I still have to work on my fondant being smooth but I think that will come with time... If you have suggestion I'm always up for hearing them... I'm going to post one more also... the from did have real lace on it and it looked awesome...

Here is a sample of the cookies I did for the Wedding Fanfare hosted by our newspaper. The tuxedo idea came from Antonia74 (Big Thank You), don't know if I have ever seen a bride one but this is what I came up with. If someone has done it before--Thnks for the idea. Lots of inquiries were garnered at the show.

I made this cake for my husband's grandmother's 88th b-day. She makes quilts and this is supposed to look like a wedding ring quilt that she is known for.

These are three cakes that I kind of threw together on Monday night so I would have something to bring to work on Valentines Day. The far pink one I had a little trouble with - I beat the icing on too high a speed - it was a new recipe and I learned quickly that slow is the key!

As the final practical for my Wedding Cake class I had to make a wedding cake. The cake is actually a dummy cake which is styrofoam. the cakes are covered in fondant and decorated with royal icing lace points and brushed embroidery. I made the calla lilys out of gumpaste and petal dusted the colors on. The board is also covered in fondant and crimped. Enjoy and let me know what you think!

Vanilla cake with buttercream filling and icing. The wide ribbon (way too wide in my opinion) was insisted upon by the bride, my little sister. This was my first wedding cake, 3rd cake in total. Sorry for the poor quality!

First cupcake tree i've done. I wanted it to look more like a wedding than a birthday so i added some satin material inside the tree. Basic yellow and chocolate filled with cream cheese filling. Flowers, leaves and monograhms are all chocolate. Flowers are tinted with gold luster and i sprinkled edible red/gold glitter on them for an added touch.
