Made for a couple who eloped. The wife said she has waited 50 years for a wedding cake.

Inspired by a Colette Peters cake. White cake with lemon curd filling - 16", 12", 8", and 6" rounds. Iced in buttercream with royal icing flowers.

This cake was a collaborative effort. My mother did the flower arrangments. My aunt helped bake, mix icing, place flowers on sides, and setup. I planned, iced and decorated the cake, made the flowers, and was the "construction engineer".

I made this cake for a friend of my Sister N Law. It is buttercream with dots and bows. She found the picture in a magazine. The florist added flowers to it. Once I receive the other picture, I will post it.

cake is 3 2 layer white cakes iced with rolled buttercream. Swirls almost taste like fudge becasue I put so much cocoa in this icing. The topper isn't on it yet, and neither are the daisies that will be put on randomly. Im hoping to get another pic of it at cake cutting time. I don't know who to give te credit to for the design of the cake. The bride cut a pic out of a magazine and said that this is what she wanted. There are a few changes made to it, though.

This was my first wedding cake. It is a 14 inch chocolate cake with chocolate hazelnut buttercream filling, 1 10 inch carrot cake with cream cheese filling, and a 6 inch strawberry cake with strawberry cream cheese filled. Iced in buttercream and decorated with fresh roses. The bride was very happy with the cake and I was pretty excited about the finished product myself!!

I have only done this using pans (for a stunt cake), but this is the REAL thing! Cake is classic white cake with bakery buttercream frosting. It is filled with home-made lemon curd. The tier sizes are 12", 10", 8" and 6". The ribbon is plain satin floral ribbon 2.5" wide. I used wax paper cut to the length and width of the ribbon around each layer first (to prevent grease or raspberry bleeding), then wrapped the ribbon. I used pearl head corsage pins to hold the ribbon! It was a BIG hit! :)

This was a simple yellow cake. The bride wanted bavarian creme and raspberry filling in all layers with vanilla-almond buttercream icing. She chose the ribbon and flowers for the decoration. Very simple but elegant. Be honest with your feedback decorators, please!!!!

Buttercream frosted with fondant accents, for a bridal shower. I put the abstract lily-thing on the top after my other fondant topper just didn't look right! I think it works though.....

My first wedding cake for my sister and her husband. Cream cheese pound cake with buttercream icing, and fresh flowers. Huge cake 16", 14", 12", 10", 8". Was disappointed with the Wilton Tall Tier cake stand, it broke while cutting under the weight of all the cake and buttercream.

This is a round dummy cake a did for the florist in town. She wanted a cake to add to her display. It turned out alright but I think I needed to put more icing under the fondant. The flowers are silk and the cake is covered in mmf.

This cake was a pain, because the bride didn't want a five tiered cake (she didn't want any other type of decorations) and so I had to do four. In the picture it looks like it's leaning, but I swear in person it wasn't. Anyway, I like the color combo, and I made the bow with pink chocolate. I think that personally it would look better if there was more of a size difference between each tier. Oh well...oh and please ignore the background, this was taken in my office.

This cake is the final cake from a Wedding Cake class I took at a local store. The bottom tier is a yellow butter recipe I got from this site, the middle tier is white cake with the vanilla/caramel creamer and the top tier is a chocolate fudge/chocolate chip recipe I also got from CC. The entire cake is frosted using Butter Cream Dream. The flowers are made of royal icing.

I named this cake Josephine because it is so royal :) This is my state fair wedding cake entry and I won first place. Lots and lots of painting on this cake but I enjoyed every second of it.

This is from the Wilton Wedding Dream Cakes book cover. This is the second time I've made it and both times I've adored it. It has about 200 fondant rose leaves. This was one of the more beautiful receptions I've ever delivered a cake to. It was gorgeous.

This was my first attempt at a wedding cake. I've been doing this for less than a year. The happy couple (who I met for the first time on their wedding day) took a leap of faith and gave me a shot. I think it turned out pretty good and they were very pleased. Each layer was a different flavor so there was something for everyone.

This is a sour almond cake with pineapple filling and bc icing. This is a copy of a picture that my new daughter-in-law wanted for her wedding. Also the recipe that I used for the sour almond cake came from this site. Cake Central. Love that recipe.

This is my first wedding cake. The bride had chosen a picture off of the website for Harp Foods and asked me if I could do it. It was for a small wedding in the bride's home with only family in attendance, so I had to scale it down. It is a 6", 8", and 10" round, all vanilla cake with "marbled" buttercream. The miniature flowers and drape are fondant. The bride's florist will be placing flowers on the top and where the drape gathers. I was pretty proud of my first wedding cake.

This is my first wedding cake. I posted it last week without the flowers. The groom picked it up and took it to their private in-home wedding and they added the flowers themselves, courtesy of Flowerama in Mansfield, Ohio. This is buttercream that I marbled for an antique look, and has buttercream vines and leaves, and ivory fondant flowers and fondant cascade.

This is my first wedding cake. It is for the final cake deco. class tomorrow night. I had to have hubby help with the sotas, my hand had cramped...lol
It is french vanilla cake, and all royal icing. I would prefer to never cover a cake in royal icing, but that is the way the teacher wanted us to do it. Probably be my last time. Thanks for looking

This is my first *real* basketweave. We stuffed fresh daisies in each of the "baskets". Don't think I will ever use that stand again though, that was a little nerve-racking.
