My cake did NOT come out of the mold properly, so it ended up being a big rice krispie cake sitting on top of a big brownie, on a fondant covered disposable tray.

I saw this in a Wilton magazine. I made it for my future sister in law's bridal shower. All fondant, and flowers and design on dress is piping gel.

This was for my daughter's Kindy teacher -we threw her a shower at school with the kids. 10' square, 8' round. 1st time doing a doll dress - used rice krispie treats under the skirt - painted dress w/super pearl dust. There are a few changes I would make to the dress, but I was happy enough for my 1st one. No one noticed the flaws that I did which is always a plus! : ) All of my inspiration came from CC on this one - thanks!

This was a replica of the bride-to-bes actual dress for her bridal shower. It came out quite close! I had a great time doing this cake and my customer (future MIL of bride) actually cried! lol.. It was double chocolate fudge cake with caramel, vanilla buttercream and almond MMF. TFL!! :) This was my first double order, like I had another order for the same day. So exciting!

5-tier cake (4th tier down is styro), covered in Satin Ice. My admiration to all of you fondant people!! Delivered it fully assembled (heavy...but do-able). This photo was taken at the shop, thus the blurred out background. Had some fondant cracking and it started to slide down in the back a little (just in one spot), when I delivered it. Thanks to leahs for reviewing my post-delivery pics and her great advice on what I needed to do next time!!

I wish the photo had come out better on this cake (will get a better one from the photographer) This cake was a blast to do..the bride wanted to match the edging on the brides maids dresses. (she had it in her invite too) it took me four hours to pipe all this in and it was so dramtic and beautiful!! Happy viewing!

This cake was made to mimic some of the details of the wedding dress. It is covered in fondant with cornelli lace, antique lace, pearl, swag and flower details. The corsett was made with fondant and the "laces" for it were done with a fondant press. The material wrapped around it is a chair sash that matched the linens of the reception room, and it has an antique broach in the middle. Was fun to do!

2x10" cakes and a 7" cake covered in fondant, clothing is scrapbook embelishment, flowers are silk and feathers are real, had this idea when making my mascquarade 18th cake so did this mock up on the 18th cake before doing the 'real' cakes decoration (the 18th cake)

I just loved this idea and I cannot take credit for it. I found a picture of this cake on CC and thought it was too cute not to duplicate for a bridal shower. It is a 10" round done in pink BC. The wedding dress is fondant. I used a lace impression mat for the top and middle section of the dress. I dusted them with pearl luster dust. I made very small ribbon roses for the bouquet. And the pearls on the bouquet cuff are edible.

Got the idea from sooo many CCers. To match the brides colors, ivory and lavender, with the dress, ribbon roses and bussell buttons of fondant and the orchids gumpaste. They were my first orchids and turned out much better my second time around! She loved it. TFL

Just wanted to try my luck at a wedding dress. Came out OK for using canned icing. Dress and roses are MM foundant. Can't wait to try again when I have more time to work on it from scratch.

Yet another take on the wedding dress cake. I haven't done one before and have always loved this design. I'm finally getting to a place where I'm comfortable with my fondant skills to attempt this design. I love the way it turned out! Vanilla cake with salmonberry cream filling (an Alaskan wild berry) and vanilla buttercream icing. Gumpaste flowers and fondant dress. Edible pearls for garnish.

These are the cookie favors I made for my daughter's bridal shower. It's hard to see, but the rolled buttercream was imprinted with a lace mold, then dusted with pearl dust. Cute!

I made this cake for an exhibition.

The dress theme started with a crown and veil at the top of the cake, a bodice with laces and a frilly skirt at the bottom.

It is completely OTT and got mixed reveiws.
