I made this cake for my Grandmothers 89th Birthday. It's a replica of her WWII Navy WAVES uniform from 1943. That's her in the pic =) 2 9x13 cakes set next to each other. Everything is fondant. I was so proud to be able to honor her this way. Needless to say, there were a lot of tears shed, good tears though! This one was hard to cut, it broke my heart! Thanks for looking!

The wave is made of rice crispie treats Buttercream icing, Gumpaste surf boards, palm trees, shells, dolphin, Rock candy, Brown sugar sand, Air brushed color, edible images on the surf boards

This is a cake my mother-in-law and I did for a Quinceanera (15th Birthday). The Miss Quince requested calla lillies and roses. She wanter the cake to have waves, so we used a shaped roll wheel cutter to achieve the waves. This cake was 4-tiers (6,8,10,12) with 2 satelite cakes (10")

My entry in the teen division at the Great American Cake Show... It not only won 1st place in the category, but Best of Division! The bottom tier had hand painted fondant placks on the sides. I also did some stringwork piping on the third tier. Hope you like!

Island Princess birthday cake for a 1yo. 8" cake, everything edible but the ribbon around the base. May have lost my mind on this one as I spent 7hrs on the girl's hair alone. But I think it was all worth it. Phrase on the cake is in Palauan.

This is a birthdaycake for my mother in law, she likes pink :) The top layer is a white vanilla cake with 3 layers of lemoncurd. The bottom layer consists of 4 layers butter cake, two layers of spice cake, filled with two layers of caramel apples and 3 layers of cinnamon caramel sauce. We have to take it to her by train.... 3 1/2 hours! Hope it survives :)

The cake was inspired by the wilton pirate birthday cake. I use a 10 inch round, with 8 inch rounds stacked on top and the boat is made out of two inch squares. Everything is covered in MFF. The boys and the waves are also made out of MFF. The sail was made out of wooden dowels and paper.

Made this for a customer who wanted barbie made out of fondant. I am not happy with her at all, but I did tell her that it's tough to create something that has a distinctive look and I am not that good. She didn't want to use a real barbie either, so this is what she got. Wave made from RKT covered in fondant and RI for white foam. TFL

A cake I made for my twin nieces who love Ariel. A 14 in round marble cake covered in buttercream and royal icing. Ariel was a toy from a Walmart kit bought by the mother. Little gold dolphin was a toy ring stuck down in the cake. (It's riding the wave in the top right hand corner) Castle was printed from the internet, put together, colored & laminated.

this cake didn't quite turn out like I had hoped. It's not one of my favorites, but the birthday girl (7) loved it :) she insisted the dolphin have a tattoo no it's fin :D

Tomorrow is the first day of summer... Yay! These cuppies say "summertime" all over! Yellow cake with vanilla buttercream. Sand is crushed graham crackers, flip flops and fish are fondant, while the umbrellas are real (you know the little ones they put in your cocktails!) These make me want to go to the beach!

The cake was covered in homemade marshmallow fondant and the dolphins were all made out of fondant as well. The cake was a Lemon Supreme Cake. In order to make the waves, I colored the fondant into a few different shades of blue. Then, I cut out wave "strips" and tried to layer them on top of one another until they were "wave-like." I know, so many official words in this post :) It was so cute to see how happy she was with the surprise dolphin cake. The kids went straight for the dolphins on the side of the cake and were on a sugar high for the rest of the night!

My first wedding cake! All four tiers were iced in BC, then the pleats and waves were added with fondant. Then the entire cake was airbrushed with a pearl color. The calla lilies and W topper were made from gumpaste.

Cake made for Birthday party on a private island. Lemon Cake with White Truffle Filling, 50 servings. Covered in MMF. All parts are edible! Rice paper palm trees, isomalt sugar LCD screen, chocolate rocks, modeling chocolate sea stars and sea shells. The flip flops are dropped in a rush by someone on the way to join the dance party inside the screen, where young people are dancing bare-feet in tropical sunset beech. A blinking light is placed behind the screen to highlight the sun, dancing along in the rhythm of music.
