Made this for my parent's Bible study Valentines party this weekend. Hope they like it! My first try at scrolls and not sure if I am using the right tip for my ruffles. Can anyone tell me what the correct tip is for that?? Please??

My first try at ganache, with a crumb coat of choc BC. I even added ganache to the BC I used for the flowers on top to make them look chocolatey. Pearls I made from fondant- the Wilton's Shimmer Dust doesn't work to make them "pearl-y." Should have gotten the luster dust- live and learn!

This was my attempt at a cake in the Wilton 2005 Year Book. I just can't figure out how to make rosettes. It says to make a complete turn with the tip, I can't figure that out. So this is how it came out. Everyone loved it anyway :) :)

This was for a great niece of mine. As you see I "still" have trouble writing and fitting names, more and more practice I guess.

I had so much fun making these! It has taken me forever to conquer ri but I think I got it after this bear. Its the NFSC with pettinice fondant and hearts I glued down with RI when the fondant had been just rolled out. very fun to make.

Very easy to make since I rolled out the pettinice fondant and had already made the flowers some days before. Easy and classic.

Sue Dye posted one of these that she had done while messing around. I absolutely love it and wanted to make a couple of them for my kids for Valentine's Day. They are made from strawberry cake and buttercream. Eyes and nose are mini chocolate chips and tongue and pink bow are fondant. The brown bow and bones are made from Bubble Yum Chocolate Bubble Gum.

Heart is "frosted" with Chocolate Granache, covered with sliced strawberries and trimmed with buttercream. Base cake is 100% Buttercream, with the exception of the cinnamon candy hearts and Granache writing.

My class opted to do Valentine's cakes instead of the rainbow cake or character pans. Duncan Hines choc. fudge cake, torted and filled with seedless raspberry jam, with Wilton class one icing in chocolate and vanilla. One recipe of choc. icing just barely covered the cake, but I didn't have time to make a second recipe of chocolate. Fortunately the shell border covers most of the bare patches! This is so much fun!!! I used Melvira's roller and parchment to try to get a smooth finish. Need practice!

Be My Valentine Cake. This is my first contest and my 5th cake, I'm only 13 years old and I have never taken lessons. It's a pink 3 layer cake with valentines day decorations made on wax paper and carefully placed on top and sides.

four layers of red velvet cake covered in mmf. The roses are made of fondant that I painted. I wish they hadn't turned out so shiny and looked more natural I tried coloring the fondant first but they looked too dull. I guess it takes practice to get it right!

8 in square choc. choc. chip cake. Crusting cream cheese icing & chocolate buttercream dream icing.Gumpaste letters, bows, & hearts. Hearts say Luv U & Be Mine. This was actually a last minute cake - I had the cakes in the freezer from a previous batter and I had icing left over from a cake I just finished - and I have a Bible study to go to tomorrow - so I got to make a Valentine's Day Cake! It's not perfect, but I think it turned out really good considering that it was last minute! :)
