This was for a woman having twin girls.
I did the alternating colors on the cakes bc one was regular and one was diabetic and I thought it would hide the color shift from the two different icings better. I like the difference though instead of two identical. they are each 6 inch base with four inch tiers. TFL

I did this cake as a gift for a very good friend of mine. She's having twins...a girl and a boy. The cake is a 10" and 6" iced in all buttercream to match the babies' room. The monkeys and plaques are made from modeling chocolate. The flamingo (an inside joke from HS) was made out of gumpaste. Thanks for looking!

I made this one for my twin nieces' 5th birthday. It was sooooo much fun to do, and the neatest part was when we let the kids dive in and start eating all the decorations. The parents were horrified. It was great. All MMF with vanilla cake and buttercream for one twin and chocolate with buttercream for the other. And a giant rice krispie treat on top for stability. This is my second month and sixth cake and I am clinically addicted.

This was made for a Twin Girls Christening. 2 - 8" rounds covered in fondant with fondant "christening gown", gumpaste booties and hat. I tried to match the look of the gowns and knit booties that the girls were going to wear.

This is a 2 layer 10 " strawberry cake with butter cream icing. The ducks are from a mini loaf pan stacked and sculptedto size and shape. This was for a boy and girl twins. The frogs leaping in the front of the pond are sugar candies. The yellow ducks are just party favor picks from the client.

I got this design from a fellow Cake Central member; please forgive my forgetting the name. However, as in usual fashion, I did do a couple of things differently to make it my own. I also want to dedicate this cake - it's the first one I've made since my husband died Feb. 14. He was my cake partner, and I missed his critiques immensely. "To you, Danny."

These cakes were made for twin boys whose birthday fell on Easter. Mom wanted a birthday and Easter theme combined. These were lots of work but well worth the end result. Gumpaste shoe template from CC. Bow and cake design from Sugarshack's Boxes and Bows DVD. Teddy bear is wilton mini bear pan. Duck is chocolate (store bought). 10" torted, 2 layer, BC w/ fondant accent pieces.

A former co-worker of mine asked me to make a cake for her hubby who is HUGE MN Twins fan. Dark chocolate fudge cake with caramel filling...mmmm! I made the players with mmf/gumpaste and the stripes are mmf. I printed pictures of pennants and the logo and laminated them - as well as the scoreboard. Much easier than trying to make them with fondant!!! The baseballs in the corner are malted milk balls that I used an edible marker to make the stitches.
