14,10 and 6 inch 3 -layer rounds...and a 12inch heart groom's cake ...all tiers had 3 layers...vanilla ,red velvet and freckled mocha...vanilla IMBC...satin ice fondant with pearl and silver dust and dragees to round out the decorations... my first wedding cakes.. a bit crooked....thanks again to Leahs for all the info on the sps system.....

This is a cake i did for a Groom's shower (gay wedding). I got the idea from the many posts in this site...I think it turned out great considering I am more of an "abstract" pastry chef...My hands can't seem to accomplish what my mind sees...but I hope you like it...the inside is red velvet with cream cheese.

Well I finally got it done....boy it was one disaster after another, but in the end I think it came out pretty well. I know the groom loved it. This wasn't my design...the bride gave me a picture, but I did change the top a bit and added more strawberries around the bottom. The bowties, buttons, and lapels are made out of modeling chocolate (my first time using it). I think next time I will use chocolate fondant. Thanks for looking!

This is my first wedding cake ever! It was a gift for my Uncles. It was a gay wedding so I made the the 2 tuxedo topper. Thank you so much to 2muchsugar for the design idea and all the help along the way! Black fondant scrolls. Diamond impression mat with RI dots. The top tier was crooked, kinda bummed about that. I was so nervous, I had disaster week from hell, so I'm glad it turned out as well as it did. I got so many compliments (about the looks and the taste), and was totally relieved about that. TFL!

***Update: I'm having a hard time incorporating this design into a cake. The more I fiddle with it, the less it looks like the OG plates. Not sure this is a cake that I would like to do.*** Inspired by the Olive Garden plates. Ate there this weekend and really liked their plates so I sketched it out on the receipt and then decided to sketch out a cake with the design. I'm a critique subgroup member. Cake for a good friend leaving for college. Chocolate cake with peanut butter filling, chocolate BC. All decorations are fondant. Thanks to all who posted similar cakes and Doug who did the wonderful template. Thanks!

I got this idea from Cakery (THANKS!!). 2 Tier WASC, torted and filled with chocolate ganache and fresh sliced strawberries, then covered with dark chocolate ganache with white fondant shirt and bow. The final cake was also topped with chocolate covered "tuxedo" strawberries. It was a huge hit and very delicious!!

These are the cookies we made for my wedding! I made the cookie cutters and had some help baking and decorating them. I wish I had a better picture! NFSC and Royal Icing.

This dress was inspired by 2 pictures from jamcakes & laurynrn. The shower theme was wedding dress and tuxedo. I found jamcakes upload of the tux part of the cake and laurynrn pic of the gown. The dress in fondant and the bottom layers are buttercream w/fondant accents.

this was the tuxedo cake i did with the dress cake. thank you boween for your inspiration. everything is fondant except the rose (took me a few tries) the bowtie, buttons and color are covered in luster dust. my fondant was a disaster this time. not sure what the problem was. i'm a critique subgroup member...thank you for your input

10" chocolate heart cake with cherry filling. Chocolate Pettinice fondant. White chocolate seashells dusted with super pearl dust. Initials made from fondant. Goes with the "Blue Seashell Wedding Cake" in my gallery.

The football was iced in chocolate butter cream and the laces are white fondant. The cake is surrounded by 8 tuxedo strawberries with the names of each male wedding party member placed in front of the strawberry. The groom provided me with the small football helmet that I placed next to the cake.

No fail sugar cookies with royal icing. The bride cookie matched the top of the brides dress. So much fun to make!

This was a wedding gift for my friend and his bride. NFSC with RI details individually wrapped and tied with a ribbon :) Tuxedos and Wedding Dresses circled the tray with a big wedding cake in the middle!

Cheesecake covered in nuts then drizzled with chocolate and caramel. I covered it in tuxedo dipped strawberries. This was so much fun to work on.
