I made this for my son's 4th birthday. He wanted a tough ducky with a leather jacket and a motorcycle. The only thing not edible is the motorcycle. The washtub is a 2-layer 10" round seated on an inverted pie plate, all coated in blue buttercream so the "water" is peeking through the "wood" slats. The wood is made of chocolate fondant. The duck is white chocolate and his jacket, t-shirt, shades, towel, soap and bubbles are fondant. Thanks to several others on Cake Central for the inspiration and ideas!

This is another hot tub cake I did ~ it was a "rush" job......funny thing about the cake.......The guy that wanted it is a friend of my husband........(so my husband took the order)....he said he wanted one like the hot tub I had done before.........so, I'm thinking naked people in a hot tub.........well, he called Sat. morning to see if I was done (I needed 2 more hours!) and my husband was telling him what it looked like.......and he's like....."NO!!!!!!!! NO, NO, NOT NAKED PEOPLE!!!!!!!!
THIS IS FOR A TEENAGERS' BALL TEAM!"....................................OOPS!!!!!!!!!!
Seems as though SOMEONE didn't make that clear!!!!!!! (note to self: always talk to the person wanting the cake!) So here I am scrambling to take boobs off of people............and re-do.......(seems they wouldn't be needing the wine/beer bottles that I had made after all!!) ANYWAY............................here's what it FINALLY looked like..........(and I am NOT happy with the people!!!!!) But he loved it!!!!!!!

This was inspired by all the pretty tubs that I came across here on Cake Central. I just had to try doing one. I gave it to a friend who recently had a baby girl; Sydney. The cake is a fruit sponge covered in fondant, the baby and accents are fondant and the bubbles are royal icing.

This is a cake a friend wanted for a baby shower for a friend. She wanted a non standard rubber ducky in a tub. I used piping gel tined for the water to fill tub and spill over the side. The frog was a special request. Alot of fun and lessons learned. I would like to try this one again.

My son took one look at this cake and said he liked the elphant in the tub???
Then I realized that claw-foot tubs were way before his time, and I did make them a little 'chubby' to be more whimsical looking! Couldn't help but laugh out loud when he showed me the elephant's trunk - aka the faucet!

For my SIL's mom, I had the most fun making this cake. I had to travel an hour with it so I took all the pieces to put on the cake at the party. My husband carried the cake out to the car in my carrier and I told him to put a hand under the cake because it was so heavy, of course he didn't listen. When we arrived at my SIL he grabbed the cake up again with one hand and I repeated my warning. I turned and got the pieces for the cake out of the car and heard a big thud. I slowly turned around to find the bottom fell out of the cake carrier, thank goodness it fell straight down. The whole cake moved 1/2" on the board and the bottom half of the icing slid off the sides, but I was able to repair, lucky for my husband, if you look closely at the pictures you can see signs of stress in the icing.

3-13 inch oval cakes. Holes were pre drilled in the board and large Wooden Dowels are screwed into a 14x18 3/4 inch plywood board AFTER THE FLOOR WAS PUT ON THE BOARD. I put Hidden pillars cut to the same length over the dowels and glued them down with hot glue. The pillars are wrapped with fondant and then the feet and details were added. The cake on it's own heavy board were then hot glued to the top of the wooden dowels. Ducks, Water, Soap and towel are all edible and handmade.

I hope she likes it! Thanks for looking!

Baby shower cake for my daughter with 3 ducks sitting in a bucket of bubbles. I covered the iced cake with planks of chocolate and then put candy clay around the outside to hold the planks. By the time I got the cake to work though the candy clay dropped to the bottom. I loved making the ducks though.
