Carved from a 15x11 sheet cake, iced in buttercream. Most decorations were made ahead out of royal icing. Base is styrofoam, wheels are doughnuts. Details painted with silver luster dust.

Thanks to everyone who has a fire truck cake in the galleries, you were ALL inspiration for me!

The cake was done for my Grandfather's 70th Birthday. He had just gotten a new truck and I tried to imitate it. Everyone loved the truck.

I made this cake for my little cousin's 2nd birthday. My uncle owns his own company so my aunt wanted the dump trucks with their company colors, green cab with grey truck beds. The cake is Toba Garet's chocolate cake with chocolate cream filling, decorated in buttercream icing. The dump trucks are chocolate transfers.

This grooms cake was made for a truck driver. He loves chocolate. This double chocolate cake is coverd in ganache and decorated with chocolate molds. I was not pleased with the cake at all but I got so many compliments at the reception that I almost patted myself on the back. The groom ordered another one for his birthday.

This was meant to be in fondant, but I hate the stuff, so I made it work with buttercream. I think it turned out alright though.

This was one of two cakes I decorated for a surprise birthday cake for two guys. The both started out as truck drivers and now one is a fireman. The other cake has big rigs and road signs on it.

This is one of two cakes I decorated for a surprise birthday party for two guys. They both started out as truck drivers but now one is a fireman. The other cake has a fire truck and other fire related objects on it. I know this is an odd color for a male but this is the color of his rig (lilac).

This was made for my best friend's baby shower in 2003. It was all bc and I used the firetruck pan. This was a big hit at the shower because it is so bold and the shower was all primary colors with firetruck stuff! (This theme was chosen by the mom-to-be since this is how the nursery was decorated!)

My cousin's little boy requested a Monster Truck cake and wanted Grave Digger. I found a side view of the real truck and did my best at recreating it in a cake version. I have found that the more I do, the more I learn and the better I will be. The truck is chocolate cake stacked with ganache filling then covered in fondant. The bottom layer is French Vanilla, buttercream icing and crushed sugar wafers for the dirt. I am sure he will love it but I wish I was more of an artist when it comes to drawing. LOL

I made this one for my nephew's 2nd birthday. They are having a Tonka party theme. I used my Crayola Trace n' Draw to make the design on the cake board, then covered the board with freezer paper. Since I could still see the design thru the paper, I used the pattern to lay out the cupcakes in the shape I wanted. I then frosted the top, and again used the Trace n' Draw to make the truck on the top. I outlined and then filled the colors in using an airbrush. (SIL loves the CCC's, so easy to serve!)

I made this for a local volunteer fire dept. They held a fund raising auction to raise money for a new fire truck. This cake sold for $380.00. I was pretty excited about that. It's choc. fudge carved from an 11 x 15 pan divided and stacked. The ladder is sugar paste and the extinguisher on other side was plastic. Hubby made the fire house out of card board. Not bad for a guy, huh?

This cake was a last minute order for the brother of a friend. She gave him the cake for his birthday, but he didn't want to cut it at home...he insisted on taking it to work to show it off.
