This is a chocloate birthday cake I made for a friend the cake is torted with buttercream frosting in it and covered in buttercream. The Succubus is my first try at a chocolate transfer. It is the warlocks pet in the game World of Warcraft. The tail broke but I did not have time to make another. Overall I am pretty happy with it.

This is 4 9in square cakes cut in half and set sideways next to each other. It is yellow cake and buttercream icing. It is my first try at a frozen buttercream transfer. It was for my husband's birthday and all his co-workers loved it. I used buttercream icing in between each layer to glue them together. The bottle neck was just pieced together with scraps. It's not perfect but I was very proud.

Polly Pocket birthday cake. Made Polly's head and flowers with chocolate transfer method. Actually looked better in person than in the pic. Cake was french vanilla with cookies and cream filling and french vanilla buttercream (from WBH). 9", 6", 4" Lots of fun to make.

A smaller version of a cake I had previously done. I sort of feel like it looks a little overdone this time. I think I should have left a few things off. Oh well! But I will say I had an easy time with the fondant this time (yea!) and I used pearl dust on the fondant and it looks really pretty, but you cant really see it in the photo. The images are chocolate transfers.

I'm new to cake decorating and I wanted to try out chocolate transfers. They need to be a little bit smoother, but I'm pretty happy the way they turned out since it was my first time.

Chocolate Cake w/ Chocolate Ganache filling. The standup transfer is suppose to be George Bush, Sr. It was a hit. My cake was eaten before the Cheese Factory cakes!

I think if I ever HAD to make this again, I'd make a chocolate BC frosting and do just the plaque. It was my first chocolate transfer. (im a cowboys fan.. dont want to EVER do this again LOL) but sons bday was perfect time to try the transfer. he loved it!!! All that counts! (didnt have time to further decorate.)

This was the topper for the chocolate birthday cake with the vines / drop flowers on top. I just made a chocolate transfer for the numbers out of sage green chocolate. I put skewers in and made them a bit thicker than usual. When the chocolate had set, I then piped small buttercream drop flowers all over it. I really like this effect and will be doing it often!

11x13 cake made for a 9 year old boy. Figure is CT. My CT's still need more work. I wanted to do an FBCT, but I was afraid of the figure melting or bleeding since we'd been having some unseasonal warm weather.

I thought about adding a webb around the Happy Birthday Message, but I thought it might make the cake look "too busy".

Thanks for looking!

14" square cake covered in buttercream. Shrek, Donkey, and Puss in Boots are my very first chocolate transfer. I think I used and/or made 12 different colors! It was a great learning experience.

this is a cake i did for my goddaugher's 3rd birthday (she LOVES Hello Kitty). I almost broke down and cried the night before the party, because my original HK chocolate transfers broke - all of them! And so i had to redo at least 2 of them, which is the one sitting in front of the cake and the one sitting by the round, smaller tier. the side of the smaller cake is covered in the small chocolate transfers that did not break + fondant decorations and fondant decorations on the bottom tier and sides.

This cake is similar to another one I did earlier this week. It was done to match the "Winter Greetings" Lenox china pattern. My mother, Catherine McClung, is the artist who designed the china. The cardinals are chocolate transfers, the pinecones are royal (penny sue's method) real ribbon because I don't have the knack for fondant ones yet.

This is the Betty Boop birthday cake I made for my 12-year old daughter. It is moist red velvet cake filled with dark chocolate mousse and seedless raspberry jam. Frosted with whipped cream butter cream - Betty is my first FBCT. I topped it off with one of the lips sugar cookies I made for the party favors. My daughter loved it!

I made this cake for a friend's baby shower. Half of the cake is rich yellow butter cake filled with vanilla mousse with chopped up reese's peanut butter cups (the mom-to-be's favorite candy). The other half is a tasty buttermilk devils food cake with cookies and cream filling. Frosted with whipped cream butter cream and brown sugar for the dirt. The baby is a FBCT and the sides are decorated with NF sugar cookies iced with royal icing and glace.

I made this cake for my twin nephews for their second birthday. It was my first fbct cake. I dreamed about it all night long and didn't get much sleep. I am pretty pleased with it since it is my first. I have a long way to go before I am good at it.

Birthday cake for a lovely large originally from Venice, who just turned 80. She likes the color blue & likes things to be simple; the gondola & passengers on the side is a chocolate transfer; the Rialto Bridge on top is also a chocolate transfer, held up with a large toothpick.

This was a cake made for my nephew's 1st birthday. Thank you Adven68 for the inspiration! The decorations are chocolate transfers. The fire is red and gold buttercream mixed in the same bag. I just used a large leaf tip to pipe in the flames. I decorated the cake at my sister's house (which is 3 hours from where I live) and didn't realize until I started that I had left my wooden board and my brick impression mats at home. so the cake kind of took a different turn from what I had originally planned.

This my first try at the chocolate wrap that everyone has been talking about. I had so much fun and learned so much! It's not as hard as I thought.

I did let a friend do the boarders. She has never decorated a cake before and loved it. She is now going to take lessons!

My first try at cake other than Wilton preformed pans. My nephew loved it. Used Wilton football mold for rocket and hand cut the bottom of the rocket and what the rocket sits on. Used piping gel transfer method for picture of Buzz. All BC. Put picture of nephew in rocket. Left out on this picture due to guidelines.

This was for my daughter's 3rd birthday. I ordered the paper goods online which the picture is from an artist who does water color style drawings of horses and little girls. I used a projector to trace the napkin and did a BC transfer (first attempt ever). Made matching flowers out of RI and added the grass border. I think the top of the cake was a bit simple and could have used something more...but all in all pleased with turn out.

This is the side view of the Silly Horse. (Silly horse is what my 3 year old calls a horse rolling on it's back). I think the flowers on the border definately made the cake.
