This was my first cake from Wilton Course I. It was the transfer and fill in with the drop star. It is suppose to be a White with Yellow center Plumeria Flower. I added the green leaves after class at home to make it pop a bit more as all the white was loosing it somewhat. Not bad for a first cake. Thanks for looking!

This was my first attempt at a FBCT and a cupcake cake for a preschool party. Got tons of great advice from all of you here. The mom and the kid both loved it, the teacher probabally wants my head for hopping the kids up on sugar!

This was my first try with fbct on a 3D surface. It was the 3D Cruiser pan, iced in bettercream, and of course the transfers were buttercream. It nearly made me cry several times as i find out that i can't pipe a straight line, and i had to give up on a few of the details that i wanted, but the birthday boy's wife loved it when i dropped it off

My first experiment with chocolate transfer sheets. LOVE them, but need to work on my technique. Roses are made from rolled buttercream, dusted with luster dust.

My first time doing a chocolate transfer. The hearts were easy to do- I'll try something with more detail next time! It's a yellow cake with vanilla pudding and cinnamon b/c.

9" White and Chocolate cake w/ choc. whipped cream filling. Choc. BC Icing. I made Chocolate transfers to signify things in his life (his Westie, motorcycle, sailboat, his african grey parrot, a motorhome, a TV, a computer, a Shell gas station emblem and of course the chocolate "65" on top of the cake!). Thanks for looking.

As a loyal Georgia fan, it was very hard to make this cake (kidding). Gator is a chocolate transfer, and strawberries are striped in orange and blue chocolate. Chocolate cake, chocolate buttercream, and ganache on top.

Another surprise birthday. Just given the kind of cake and icing, and free reign on the rest. For a 75 year old grandmother, so I liked the purple. I love chocolate transfer bows!

This is my first stacked cake. It was a challenge. It was also my first layered/torted cake. Bottom tier is chocolate w/BC filling. Middle tier is white cake w/BC filling. The top tier and the pineapple are krispie treats. All iced in BC. The characters are royal icing transfers.

I had lots of problems w/this one, but it was a learning experience. All of the kids at my son's b-day party loved it. One of the mom's even said she would call for her next party

We went to a family bonfire tonight to celebrate four family birthdays. This cake is an 8" round on a 10" square. Both are white cakes with milk chocolate covered toffee bits and then filled with WBH House Buttercream with the same toffee bits mixed in. Then they are covered with ganache. The bonfire itself (flames and sparks) are chocolate transfers, as are the trees. The leaves and rocks around the bonfire are MMF. I also sprinkled crushed chocolate under the fire to look like dirt.

My daughter made three requests for her birthday. She wanted a Dora cake, she wanted it to be pink, and she wanted it to have candles.
This was the first time I have tried a chocolate transfer. I like it.
The cake was white was raspberry cream cheese filling.

This was a challenging cake to make. The fondant was topped with chocolate transfer sheets. Tricky because you have to try to match up the seams as close as possible. I'm sure that if you do this frequently, it won't be a problem. The ribbons are fabric (per the bride's wishes). The inside was chocolate butter cake filled with white chocolate buttercream.

I used buttercream and chocolate transfer sheets. Would do it again, but not on a cake this big. The mom insisted on using the raspberries they bought, froze and thawed out, so after this picture it was like a waterfall of bright red mess (the whole time saying, "Who knew they would bleed like that?" after I tried to tell her they would ooze all over the place).

This is a closeup of the chocolate transfer sheets. When they put them on the stand a piece broke, but you couldn't really tell from afar.

I made this cake for my husband's promotion. The cake is a yellow cake w/ crusting buttercream. I added vanilla, butter, and almond extracts to the buttercream. I tried a different technique for the frozen buttercream transfer, and loved how it had an "embroidered" look on the stripes. The stripes were freehanded. Getting the frosting "Air Force blue" about made me want to quit, luckily it worked. Constructive critiquing welcome

This cake was for a young lady taking self-defense classes. They wanted a cake with a lady kicking a man below the belt. This is what I came up with. This was my first FBCT and it will not be my last. There are many flaws in this FBCT but I will keep trying until I get it right.

It's almost 2am here, so...later I'll be going to a surprise birthday party. I made my very first ever FBCT using the photo to sketch program that someone was nice enough to let this community know about. I did have one major mishap when I forgot that I had "untaped" the wax paper from my cutting board/sketch paper. The transfer fell on my counter - frosting side down! I think I saved it well though. The cake is 2 layers of Pink Champagne White cake and chocolate Bavarian cream filling.

This cake is for a "tailgate" themed birthday party today (MSU vs. Purdue).
It is for 2 5 year olds (boy and girl). They wanted to add some cheerleaders to make it a little bit more feminine for the girl. The cheerleaders, team logos and football player are CT's. It was my first time doing a sheetcake and i had some trouble with the square corners. I had to make more cheerleaders this morning to cover up my imperfections by the corners! I need some more practice, but this was a fun cake.

Half sheet marble cake with buttercream icing. I did this last minute, very rushed, and my bct fell apart!! Of course, I did that last so I had no icing left to touch it up. You live and you learn I guess!

I made this cake because I received such a warm welcome from everyone at my new job. I also wanted to show of my skills since I needed to build up new clients :-) They all loved it and were amazed I could put our company logo on the cake. Icing was cream cheese, cake was red velvet.

The bottom and third tier are Chocolate Fudge cake filled with raspberry preserves and chocolate ganache. The basketweave tiers are Red Velvet. All the cakes were frosted with buttercream. As the bride and groom are a Music teacher and an Air Force Band member, I used chocolate transfer sheets to wrap the chocolate tiers in Mozart. This was the first wedding cake I ever made that I sold. It was my 3rd wedding cake attempt.
