BC covered cake with candy melt transfer Dora characters. My first time doing candy melt transfers and they were SO easy and turned out SO well!! Very very happy with this technique. They turned out so well you almost don't notice that the cake is lop-sided! :D

Simpsons painting Happy Birthday sign; Bart spilling paint on Homer.
You guessed it: the images & the writing are all chocolate.
The rope holding the 'scaffolding 'extends to the bottom of the cake.
(ok, the icing could have been a bit smoother.. but I was concentrating on the chocolate design)

This was really for my brother's birthday but my daughter insisted I make it for him since Star Wars is his favorite. Darth Vader is a buttercream transfer, this was my first attempt. I wish the detail was more defined but overall it came out fine. Much better than my C3P0

Ok... this is not the best job- I know, but I am pretty proud being that it's my first one. Pay no attention to the edges. I am having such a hard time with getting the corners straight edged, so I just cover them up with border.

A birthday cake I made for my nephew. Batman transfer was a rectangle thus the "cut-off" on one side.

Butter cake with Quick Caramel Frosting. First try at Caramel Frosting and expected the Caramel Frosting to be creamy like cream but it turned out grainy and extremely sweet because of the powdered sugar. Any comments welcomed.

The cake was for a martial arts studio anniversary and going away party for one of the instructors. This is my first attempt at chocolate transfer.

I was very pressed for time, so I am sorry to say that the cake was purchased undecorated. I decorated it with BC and the chocolate transfer. The instructor cut it with a Samurai knife. Very efficient, quick way to cut the cake!

This was for my DD's 4th birthday. MMF covered with chocolate transfer ponies. This was my first time trying chocolate transfers, I should have attached them with a different color icing, didnt think it would show so badly!

I made this cake for my father-in-law. He loves his union more than his own children. He even got an ILWU tattoo. anyway, I had to make this with no decorator bags or tips. I actually did the fbct with a small ziplock baggie. I used a larger one to do the border. I slightly misjudged the size of the top of the cake, and the transfer was a little big, so the border went under the edge.

Here is what doing just simple squares from your transfer sheet look on a cake. We cut all kinds of shapes and always saved the scraps by color in a cello bag to use for last minute "window' dressing!

I want to give adven68, sweetdreams and kittisKakes credit for my inspriation. I dont know who had the idea first, but I thought it was so cute! It is a 10 and 8 inch covered with mmf. The ladders are royal icing, the fireman, truck and hydrant are chocolate transfers. the fire is BC. It is for a 3 year old birthday party tomorrow. This is the first time I am making a cake for this family, so I hope it will meet their expecations. I had SOOOO much trouble doing the fondant this time.

I made the legal size (7 1/2" x 13") transfer for the top of this cake. Since I needed a really good airplane photo, I went to a website that had copyrighted pictures that allowed me to pay for the one-time use of the photo. Since this cake was presented at a gathering of dignitaries at San Francisco International Airport, I did not want to take the chance of using a photo of someone's elses without getting the copywriter's permission. I avoided the possibility of a mess if the photographer was there.

This was that one I couldnt decide to do 3D or not. I wasnt going to do CT cause I dont have candy colours but realized giraffe is all browns anyway so I mixed dark/white choco melts. White choco BC. Raspberry cream filling, from scratch cake recipe from here, but subbed raspberry yoghurt instead of milk and extra egg cause they seemed small. Turns out this lady's family likes the light airy fluffy cakes. So yeah no pudding mixes or yoghurt for them anymore lol.

This is a chocolate transfer on a cookie. The cookie was first covered in MMF and stenciled with pearl dust. I then piped the castle scene with melted candy melts and when it hardened, I attached it to the cookie. I love doing chocolate transfers and figured that if they worked well on cakes, they'd work on cookies, too!
