This was the second request for this cake. I made the wheels from rice krispie treats. MUCH easier than cookies!

Another one made for my dad's work. He works at Goodyear, so it had to have those tires.

I made this for my father-in-law's birthday. (My in-laws live on a farm) Inspired by Boween's great tractor cake. WASC cake, buttercream icing, fondant accent pieces. Next time I'll use a loaf pan instead of carving from a sheet! The back tires are 4" cakes, the front tires I cut from the sheet using a cup as a cutter, and the trailer tires are made of fondant. I'm not sure why the icing looks like it's cracked in the photo. This one was lots of fun to make!

I had some issues with this one...there are parts of the tractor, which is a FBCT, where the green is darker in spots...not happy about that. anyone know why that happens??

THis is my 3 year old son's birthday cake. He was very specific on what it should have on it! 11x18 sheet pan, barn is house pan, hay is cupcakes and silo is rice krispie treats. The corn is green birthday candles with corn kernals piped on. The dirt road has chocolate jimmies and black sugar crystals. The tractor was a toy. The rest is buttercream icing.

very disappointed in this cake ;(, thank God it was for my nephew lol! i would have done tons of things differently... i tried to find crullers for the back tires (to make it look tough) but couldn't find any... also didn't have the mini doughnuts so had to use holes... also couldn't find anything that would show up on the green (yellow) to finish the john deer logos... ahhh, well thanks for looking hehe ;)

I actually made this for a baby shower. All the decorations are chocolate, some molded...some drawn out by hand on parchment paper. The only things that are not edible are the tractor and the truck.

This cake literally took me two whole days! I was glad to get rid of it, but was thrilled with the results.

So this cake is a bit busy, but the things were so cute I could not bear to leave them off. The cake is yellow with ganache filling and butttercrea,. The figures are fondant and the tractor is rice crispie with fondant. The most fun was the eggs. IT was like being a kid again and decorating. i took inspriration from several bunny and farm cakes thanks to all those!

This cake was for a 2-year-old boy's birthday. As with most boys this age, he loves tractors. The tractor is a toy I bought at Target. The mounds of 'dirt' are carved pieces of chocolate cake.

This is another 3d cake which I'm starting to fall inlove with doing! It's mostly done in buttercream with the wheel covers, steering wheel and seat in gumpaste. Wheels are donuts covered in rice crispy treats, covered in MMF.

This was for my son's 3rd birthday; he absolutely loved it! It was my first time using gumpaste (used to make pig and cow). Also my first time making a stacked caked like this. Thanks ChristyB for letting me use your design!

I had to make another one of these once my friend's little boy saw the first.
All the pieces are gumpaste, except for the tires, which are chocolate doughnuts (my DH suggestion...I think he knew I couldn't buy just one doughnut, and the rest would have to be "disposed" of)

I did this up quick last night for my hubby's b-day today. I felt kind of bad that I didn't put more into his cake and everyone else gets a special cake but he still loved it. Free hand work as you can see:)

This is a cake that I made for friend at work, for a "groom shower" that we threw him. He had joked about wanting to have a cake like this for his wedding. This was my first attempt at a cake this big. It was an 12x18. The cake was white and buttercream icing (both from recipes I found here). The tractor was from the Wilton pan and the wheels are covered in black fondant. The crop rows are also fondant with the grass/fur tip used to show the plants poking through. The guy and the girl are fondant, to

Cake is chocolate cake w/reg. bc. Fence is popsicle sticks w/chocolate icing for the mud, pigs bought from hardware store along with the tractor. The cake actually says "Happy 28th Birthday Scott". I just couldn't remeber the date to finish it before I took the pic. I finished it up this morning, so it reads right, batteries died on my camera. Go figure.
