Topsy Turvey, red velvet and vanilla cake. My second cake ever done. The red velvet was definitely way too moist and soft to hold the fondant so it kind of "slumped".

This is my "Ode to Andrea's Sweetcakes" cake. I did this for my friends daughter's 14th birthday. What a fun cake to do. Everything is made with MMF, except the banner poles. Poles are made from dowels. TFL

I made this cake for my Daughter's !st birthday. The theme was Ava in One-derland. I used a 10/9/8 inch and 8/7/6 inch pans and the small wilton ball pan. all covered in fondant and fondant and gumpaste figures.

I made this for my birthday. I had to try out a topsy turvy as no one has ever ordered one from me. I totally randomized on the patterns especially as I ran short on time (I always do). I knew the consequences of placing the cake on cardboard but did it anyway hence the oily cakeboard base. I loved making it and was glad with the outcome. Next time I hope to make the tiers taller. Thanks for looking.

This cake took FOREVER lol! Sculptures are made of fondant/gp. Cake is alternated by tiers with strawberry and raspberry. Strawberry and raspberry mousse with vanilla custard thrown in. So, lots of different combos in there. :) I thoroughly enjoyed making this one!

I made this cake for a 30th surprise birthday. The cap is gumpaste with fondant. The bottom 2 layers are fondant. The bottom layer is chocolate with chocolate ganache, the next layer is red velvet with cream cheese frosting, the cap is chocolate with vanilla buttercream.

I took Richard Ruskell's Topsy Turvy cake class available on craftsy.com. It's surprisingly sturdy, that thing did not move an inch during transport. I highly recommend the class. The decoration is a nautical theme with sailing bears. I cheated and used goldfish crackers to save time.

The brief I was given was topsy turvy with flames, skulls and a "rocker" theme. skulls and tattoo's are rice paper on fondant and flames are fondant. Purchased ring pops for "bling" soothers and a candy filled baby bottle.
