Just a yellow cake for a girl who's been with DH's company for 10 yrs. DH got me this order :) the girl evidentally loves Tinkerbell so this is what they wanted for her. edited to say: I thought DH mentioned me for making the cake, turns out they asked him if I would be interested because when I took Wilton 1 back in jan. I sent in all the cakes with him to work because our family was sick of cake (insane huh? LOL)for a while, and they remembered the stinkin rainbow etc. and liked them (go figure lol)

My first Cupcake Cake - I made this Tinkerbell cake for my niece's 2nd birthday party. I had saw the ccc on here and thought that would be the best thing to make for conveince. It was so much fun. I printed out a picture of Tinkerbell from an online coloring page, and free handed her on the cake, then I made the dark pink, light pink, dark green & light green petals looking things from her invitation. The cupcakes are Marshmallow, Bubblegum & Pina Colada with extract flavorings, icing is No crust BC

This cake was made for a girl turning 18 who loves Tinker Bell. Tinker Bell's flower stem was made from a styrofoam cone covered in gumpaste with a gumpaste flower. The flowers and stars on springs were also made from gumpaste. The cake was cavered in mmf and all other flowers and stars were also mmf. I brushed edible glitter on everything for a pixy dust effect. I found Tinker Bell at the Disney Store (after a massive hunt!) in a fairy playset.

I made this for my nephew's mom. She was planning on having a big party but then she was diagnosed with leukaemia, so I just made her a small cake as a surprise. She's crazy about Tinkerbell & didn't want to cut it.

Two giant cookie cakes for 12-year-old twins. Tinkerbell and Hello Kitty. I left the edges of the cookies as they baked. We agreed it looked fine. So, I outlined it with the icing (border). YES, I forgot Hello Kitty's whiskers...oops. FBCT ...these were my 3rd and 4th transfers. So far, the mother has seen these...they've been delivered. She loves them. HOPE the girls love them, too!

Here is a small gift box, made from a 7" round cake pan.. I used the collar method from this site to get my cake to rise high.. So that I could have enough cake to cut the top off for the "lid" of my cake.. Colored Fondant accents to match Tinkerbell.. I was trying to make a cake to match Tinkerbell, without really using Tinkerbell herself.. I also found cute wings at a dollar store and added one to my cake and one to each cupcake.. I had alot of fun on this cake..

This cake was for a 12 year old girls B-Day. I really liked how the cake turned out except for tinkerbells eyes. Haven't figured that one out yet. Other than that, it was really fun to do!

Another Tink cake. I used my projector and their invitation for the image. I wish I had an airbrush so that I can add flesh color without making it look like a scarred burn victim! LOL So I just left it the base color and outlined the skin parts with the right color. I realized that I forgot the "th" after the 4 before she picked it up and added it real quick! whew!

As I have seen from other tinkerbell cakes, the eyes are easy to do for some and not for others. I had my challenges with the face and hands, but feel it turned out well.

Ok everyone, I'm giving you permission to laugh. Cause that is the only reason I'm posting this puppy. I laughed so hard after I finished it and realized I couldn't make her hair look any better... I know now that some thing are best left the way they should be.. My husband tried to tell me it looked good...Yeah right! This was a freebie for a friend of his daughter. They loved it and that is all that matters I suppose. Bad Hair Day! Hats off the the member who nailed the original of this.. TFL!

This is the second cake I ever made. I made this cake for my daughter's 3rd birthday this past weekend. It's butter cake (wilton recipe) with crusting buttercream icing (recipe on forum). The decorations are fondant and tinkerbell was bought. Everyone loved it, especially my daughter.
