Made this for a family party that my work was putting on. I thought I would try doing a FBCT that was level with the other icing. I don't know if I would do it again. It was easy enough, just used a lot of icing, and I remember it being hard to smooth out. I also put those cake sparkles on the cake (for pixie dust) but I don't think it really adds anything

Tinkerbell is a FBCT. The wording is on strips of White Chocolate Modelling Clay. The rest is FBCT. Tinkerbell's outline is too light (oops) but I'll know better next time. Birthday gal loves Tinkerbell.

Choc cake withbuttercream icing. Pink flower made from rolled buttercream ,coloured to match the theme of the cake. Tinkerbell is from homemade marshmellow fondant, pieces cut out and rearranged on top of the cake. Great hit with a room filled with 8 year old girls, my daughter's birthday. Thanks for your time.

Did this cake for my little sister's birthday. Short notice so didn't have too much time to prepare. It's a choc cake w/ banana custard filling. Frosted w/ whipped cream every this buttercream except writing.

My eldest was really into Tinkerbell at the time. But getting a figurine in South Africa was difficult. So I had to improvise by cutting out Tink from the goody bags. Sorry about the quality of the pic.

I made this for my DDs 5th birthday. It was inspired by many cakes here. It is made with the buttercream dream recipes from this site (yummy) all of the toppers are dolls, and silk flowers. I haven't taken any classes, so eventually I woudl like to learn to make toppers and flowers from fondant, royal icing and gumpaste. Not perfect, butI'm still proud of it. It tasted great and my daughter loved it. That's what counts!

Made this cake for my friend's daughter as a birthday present. It took six hours from start to finish. When oh when will I ever be able to just whip these things out in half that time? LOL I used yogos for the flower centers and also for the border around the bottom.

The little girl asked specifically for yellow, pink, and purple to be used as colors. Confetti cake b/c she thought it would look like sparkles inside. Buttercream dream icing. FBCT of Tinkerbell. Fondant decorations. Brushed w/ super pearl luster dust & cake sparkles sprinkled over it - can't tell in pic.

This is the second time I've done this cake, and I liked it much better. The first time, I accidently matched the dress to the grass. This time, I was able to make the dress much lighter and the grass darker. I also cut the fondant different for the dress, and used the Cake Central Silver Sparkle dust (applied with a little lemon extract) I used the Wilton doll pan, on top of a 8 inch cake.

This is my son's cake for his 4th birthday. He wanted a Peter Pan / Tinkerbell cake and after I made the chocolate transfers, he decided he wanted Ninja turtles so he's got both on either side of the cake.
