I made this for a friend that was having a jungle themed baby shower. Thanks to cindycakes2 for the inspiration. Everything is buttercream icing except for the fondant rocks beside the water and the figurines. I brushed blue tinted piping get over the water to give it that wet look.

I made this cake for my sister's baby shower. They are doing the baby boy's nursery with a safari theme, so I based the entire shower off that idea. The cake is filled with the absolutely scrumptious whipped chocolate ganache filling from this website, and covered in MMF. All the animals and the trees are made by hand out of chocolate clay; the grass and water are buttercream.

I was asked to do a lion, a tiger and a snake up a tree, so this is what we ended up with. All buttercream.

This is a birthday cake for a University of Memphis fan (FBCT). I was so excited to make it because I am a huge U of M fan myself. When I was finished, I didn't want to deliver it, I wanted to keep it for myself! They loved it!

This was my second attempt at making a cake. I made this for my sister's birthday, who loves tigers. It is very simply painted with a toothpick, icing and neon food coloring. ( I didn't have an airbrush or any experience back then).

This is one of my most popular Bday cakes, since I live in Alabama and college ball is so popular. It is a time consuming FBCT but turns out so detailed, that I just love it. I use my black icing with the smallest tip I have and just kind of "feather and paint" the details in first with that. When that is frozen, then I add the other colors one at a time, smoothing and then freezing in between always. I think the added time makes all the difference...as I always get the WOW effect from the bday boy or girl!

I made this cake for my Mother In Law's Birthday. I used the 3D Cuddly Bear Pan from Wilton. The hat is an ice cream cone wrapped in Fondant.

I hadn't decorated any cakes for probably 20 years and decided I wanted to make my grandson's 2nd birthday cake. He LOVES animals and when I saw this on the cover of the 2006 Wilton book, I knew I had to make it for him. He and his little friends loved the icing and candy animals, but most weren't too interested in the cake. After this, I knew I wanted to do more cakes and cookies.

This was a huge baby shower cake, 14-10-6 and two small ovals on the sides, the animals are hand sculpted in mmf and gumpaste. The customer is saving the animals to decorate the nursery of the baby. I love the litle monkey sucking his tumb.

I found a cake like this on another website, and thought he was so cute. My daughter's is in Kindergarten and their mascot is a tiger. So for their end of year school party yesterday I made them this. It is a pound cake with BC icing. This time i did not use the heating core, and it cake out great.

This was for a guy graduating from High School. He likes volleyball, golf, travel and is attending University of Illinois in the fall... so I had to incorporate all of that into a sheet cake! Would have been easier if it was tiered. This was my first FBCT. love how it did on the logos and the 2007, but I wasn't happy with the letters for congratulations brigham. I could've done better with my foot! Oh well, live and learn! Used the Melvira smoothing method and shifted one of the 0's in 2007. oh well.

three tiers covered in fondant. My first wedding cake with real flowers. When the bride dropped them off it was in a clear plastic container. Quick and panicked improvisation I just covered one of my bowls and added details to match!

Close-up of a 3-sheetcake order. Cub Scout emblems are all FBCTs. Cake is chocolate with BC frosting. I had a perfect, straight border incorporated with each FBCT but I didn't measure correctly and they didn't fit as pictured so I had to cut them down and then added a star border. Ugh. Next time I'll plan better.

It was a zoo birthday for our oldest (5) this year. He saw one like this on here and said "That's what I want!!!" We had so much fun making it. Animals and leaves are fondant. Trees are pretzels. Bottom cake is chocolate, top is yellow, CBC icing. The boys still remember eating the snakes!
