This is a birthday cake. I chose to do MMF because it taste better but I sure wish I had used Wilton because it is a sturdier fondant and I think I would have been happier. The MMF is just so soft and hard to work with. The colors, circles and stripes match the napkins. I left the middle layer white so the carousel horses wouldn't clash with the other colors and they would stand out on their own.

This was my daughter's 4th birthday cake. We had her party at Build-A-Bear. WASC on the top & chocolate on the bottom. I got the idea from "FATANDHAPPY"'s darling teddy bear cake! Bears are made from MMF.

I was having a hard time thinking of a cake to make for a woman at my husbands work. I had never met her. Thanks to _ChristyB_ I made this version of her cake. I tried to make it a little different so that it would be unique. I think that everyone will like it!!

I used a 12" sq and stacked an 8" sq on it. I used satin ice fondant in white to cover each cake. I made this for a 5 year old girl's birthday, but it could be great for an adult too.

Luckily, I work with a very patient wedding planner. When I delivered this cake, I was just getting over pneumonia, and stood there looking at the flowers scratching my head wondering what the ehck I could do with them. My very patient and loving friend came over and she placed all the flowers on the cake, making this a wonderful collaberation.
Cake is Red Velvet with cream cheese, fondant covered with fresh flowers.

This is my final cake from Wilton Course 3. It was my own design. I made MMF and colored it pink. The MMF was very hard for me to work with on first try. My first (Wilton) fondant cake was square and I was able to cover the cake perfectly without all the creases that I got in this one. My teacher gave me more instructions for working with MMF next time, so I hope to do a better job the second time around.

This is my first major cake. It took about a month (plus school, work and sleep) to complete, and came out about as well as I could have hoped- (but of course not perfect.) Planned for 500 people, each tier was three layers. The largest was chocolate, the smaller two cakes were lemon cranberry, all covered in black fondant. All of the cupcakes were vanilla. The theme was "enchanted escapade", so everything was decorated with a forest in mind.

mini cake 2" and 3" stacked...scratch vanilla from whimsical bakehouse (mmm) and whipped milk chocolate ganache. went for the rustic look, and used plain parchment paper for the chocolate wrap so it would be wavy and uneven. swirled white and dark chocolate with toothpick and topped with fresh blackberries, ribbon and a glitteted butterfly.

I made this cake to celebrate three of my niece's and nephew's birthdays that
fell all in the same month. They really enjoyed this cake. I enjoyed seeing
their faces light up when they found out that was their cake. My husband
said it was my best cake so far. That made it all worth it because I started
late on the cake and had to stay up all night. I iced the cake in buttercream.
I detailed the cake with sprinkles that I put on one at a time and I put gum
drops around the edge of the cake.
