I made this cake for my cousins wedding! It was my first wedding cake. It is a five-tiered ivory cake. I used buttercream frosting and real lavender hydrangea.

Whimisal abstract thorn bush. Chocolate layered 6 inch and 4 inch cake. BC with Pettinice trimmings. Inspired by antique fabric. Your critique would be greatly appreciated.

First attempt at stacking 3 tiers and I learned a lot. Glad it wasn't a paid order. Bottom is chocolate, middle is golden vanilla and top is chocolate, chocolate chip, frosted with BC and fondant accents. The hot weather gave me fits with the BC and the fondant border cracked when I put it together. Any suggestions on how to prevent this from happening? Even with the imperfections everyone loved it.

I know, it's leaning!! Got this idea from the new wilton tiered cakes book. After I took the picture and looked at my camera, I fixed the lean and then finished the bottom border. In all the fixing, forgot to snap another pic. Anyway, the cake is all buttercream with silk flowers. The bottom cakes are styrofoam. I got a good laugh at the reception when the cake cutter tried to cut them. I walked up behind here and overheard her say "I don't konw who the heck baked this, but it's hard as a brick!"

I made this cake for a friend of my Sister N Law. It is buttercream with dots and bows. She found the picture in a magazine. The florist added flowers to it. Once I receive the other picture, I will post it.

4 Tiered Wedding Cake. Stacked Construction. Buttercream covered in fondant with black scrollwork. I was petrified to decorate this cake with black icing (it is so unforgiving). Turned out much better than I expected. This was the first time I had ever covered a cake in fondant

This is my "pretty in pink" cake. I love the way cornelli lace looks but it was killing my hand! So that's why it's a little messy.

this was my first "Wedding" type cake and first three tiered cake. That was a lot of work!! It was also a very slow and stressfull drive while holding the cake. My friend and I were laughing our heads off over every bump. (stressfull laugh) Also first attempt at roses. There were only a select few that could be used. The 25 is a BCFT.

My first ever wedding cake! It's made with dummies as I did it for class, but everything else is real. All layers covered in pink tinted fondant, piped dots using royal icing, hand-painted dots with gold luster dust, daisies made with gumpaste. Plus I got to play with the airbrush by spraying luster dust on the fondant, too! FUN!

This is the cake my mother and I made for my niece's 3rd birthday this weekend. It is a strawberry cake with crusting cream cheese icing. The pink toppers and the flowers are made from fondant.

I made this wedding cake for my best friends wedding in july. I wanted to put cake jewllery around each cake like a crown but they are so expensive to buy so i had a go at making them and they turned out just as i wanted.

My first tiered cake, made for my Advanced Cake Decorating final! The top tier is fondant; the bottom two are buttercream. I used a fondant mold and luster dust to make the large grape bunches, then drew the leaves, vines and smaller bunches around the cake.

This was my first attempt at doweling a cake. It's a bit lopsided, but I don't think it turned out too badly! It's all buttercream except for the Royal icing flowers.

This was for a friend's 25th anniversary. Butter yellow cake with lemon filling and chocolate cake with raspberry filling. Iced in BC with gumpaste flower cascades. Separator was a glass compote turned upside down over a large gumpaste rose. Gave a nice effect.

Tiered birthday cake. Bottom two layers iced with buttercream and decorated with royal icing roses. Doll cake iced with buttercream and covered in fondant with royal icing drop flowers.

This was my 1st wedding cake. The bottom is chocolate and top is vanilla Covered in cream cheese icing and flowers were buttercream and royal. I had a hard time getting the icing smooth like i wanted it. But it did taste good!

Chocolate cake with buttercream icing in 8" 6" and 4" tiers. Almost a complete disaster, a deer ran in front of my car while I was delivering and I had to slam on my brakes which made the cake shift a little, I almost cried. I fixed it the best I could.

I made this after only 3 weeks of classes. Before I discovered the Viva paper towel method. I used the drop flowers to cover imperfections in the buttercream. I was proud of it at the time. I think I could do better now.

This is my final cake for Wilton Course III - it's a white cake and I added butter and almond extracts. It has a pistachio mousse filling. I know it's not the greatest, and I could use some improvement, but I've had SO much fun in the classes, if you haven't taken them yet, go for it...you will learn alot! Looks like a christmas cake, but hey it's coming up.

Buttercream with peach petunias. I tried duplicating a cake out of the 2006 Wilton Yearbook. I guess I'm one who follows directions too closely. The instructions said 3/4", 1-1/4", etc. up to 2-1/4". Dummy me, I should have realized they were too long and centered them down the side of my cake. Oh well, live and learn. I also should have made the ball tip and iced the strings upwards. Overall I am pleased with the way it turned out. I'm really sad the classes are over. I had a great instructor!

My first baby shower cake. The bottom is a 12" chocolate with buttercream filling. The next is a 9" white with raspberry filling and the bear is lemon poppyseed. They are all iced in buttercream with MMF accents. The blocks are gum paste with MMF border and letter. The buttons are gum paste too.

I want to thank some of the cake designers on here for this idea.. ideas for this cake was taken for 2 or 3 different cakes I saw on here .. the cake was french vanilla covered in buttercream then covered with light blue MMF .. MMF stars were cut out and some where decorated with eyes, etc.... baby was made from fondant .. I painted the eyes.. made a little pacifier for his mouth and a couple of curls on his head .. I covered the baby with a MMF blanket and I decorated the edges with buttercream icing

A two-tiered "Cars" themed cake for a 3-year old's birthday. Various characters in FBCT are around the sides of the cake with "Welcome to Radiator Springs" in the back. A store-bought Lightning McQueen tops the cake along with flags that I made by printing out a checkered flag design and attaching to skewers. Street signs and mini-roads also adorn the cake.

This Calla Lily Illusion cake was my very first ever Wedding Cake. Special Thanks to CookieGirl for her inspiration. It was my gift to the Bride and Groom. The bottom tier is Chocolate, the middle tier is carrot and the top tier is red velvet. All the tiers are covered with fondant and then stencilled with a thick layer of ivory royal icing to give a 3D effect. Everyone loved it and I was so pleased :)

My 2nd wedding cake. Each tier and side cakes are different classic flavored. MMF on tiered cake, some BC and some whipped on side cakes. Gumpaste flowers, small doves around fountain (idea from Witon's weddings).

This is an engagement cake (mini wedding cake) that I made for my Sis. Because the layers were so small (6", 4", 3", 2") I was afraid to 'tip' them too much, but I wanted to capture their slightly wierd way. Chocolate cake with nutella BC and Chocolate transfers. Thanks for looking.

This was my first attempt at tiers and my second attempt at fondant. I had MANY problems with the fondant this time.. but my friend still loved it. We decided, its time for Wilton cake classes!
