These are all 6", 4", and a standard cupcake for the top tier. each tier was split torted and filled. the pink with hearts and the blue with daisies were covered in mmf...the other two were covered in regular fondant.

My 19 year old asked me to make him a cake...when I asked why, he said "just Because". So here it is.

This website has been such a help to me. This was my 1st attempt at a tiered cake. I combined two cakes that I had seen. We wanted to stick with the Over the Hill theme (colors), but I didn't want to do anything dealing with tombstones or the like. She loved it.

The rounds are 12, 9 and 5; the Bible is an 11x15x2 sheet w/a 'v' cut out of the middle to form the Bible. Iced in buttercream. Artificial flowers provided by the bride - all 6 callas and 4 roses! I had to add more silk & b'cream piped roses and even a few gp callas for this to look even somewhat decent:(

This wedding cake(royal over styrofoam) w/royal accented fondant bow is a duplicate of the one I created for Wilton Master Course class final. I was thrilled to no end to find it on the front cover of the 2006 course Wilton course catalog!

White cake with buttercream icing. Customer didn't want flowers or any pictures on the cake. She requested green in color and wanted it plain. She had eaten some cake I had made for another customer and said it was the best cake she had ever tasted. She was delighted with this one.

So here's my cake all finished. Some of you were very helpful in helping me out with this cake, so I say thank you. I made this just to practice my fondant and was tired of the cake I used to have. It was a lot of fun...my hands hurt from piping royal icing, but it wasn't too bad :) Entire thing has pearl dust on it, and pearls are hand rolled fondant.

Made this at work this past weekend. It's cheesecake covered in fondant. I have a before flowers pic and after, I don't like it much with the flowers...not favorite florals. Anyway...the decorations are all royal icing with pearl dust on top.

This was three layers of yellow cake with chocolate filling, iced in BC. This was my first attempy at a tiered cake and it managed to withstand 105 degree temperatures at my daughters 4th birthday party in the park!

I made this cake for my friend's church bridal shower. The bottom (bigger!) layer is chocolate, top is yellow. Decorated with buttercream roses (that somehow survived the heat) in the bride-to-be's colors, and done with basketweave (a favorite of mine to hide crumbs that still cause me problems!)

This is another masterpiece by my mother. A three tiered butter-cream beauty with hundreds of handmade pale peach stephanotis flowers. Then finished off with the light sage green drop strings, fountain, and fresh florals underneath.

I had just finished Wilton Course III, and I decided to tackle this for my daughter's first birthday. It's a carrot cake with cream cheese filling and a crusting cream cheese frosting (although I didn't know it was called that at the time).

My mom asked me how much I would charge her friend for a cake for her mom's 80th birthday (to feed 75 or more people). When I told her, she decided she would tackle it herself (although she has never decorated a cake). Naturally, I ended up doing the cake free of charge. This was the result - I don't think it turned out too badly considering it was totally thrown together without planning ....

I was very frustrated at not being able to get my frosting smoother for this tiered cake (for my daughter's 4th birthday) and one of my little curly Qs kept falling down (didn't let them dry long enough - an afterthought). But it turned out okay, and she and her little friends just loved it.

My first tiered cake! The top tier is lemon, the bottom tier is white. Unfortunately, with the 97 degree heat, my last class got cancelled and I had to decorate it at home.

This was my first big wedding cake. I was very nervous setting it up. The pic does not show a lot of the detail unfortunately.

4" and a standard cupcake. Iced in buttercream royal icing dots and bow. These are more difficult than I thought they would be. I've been making the decorations for these for almost a week.

This is my tallest ever cake to make so far. I was really nervous about setting it up, but as you can tell it went fine. I was extremely pleased with the whole thing in the end.
The cakes are vanilla and chocolate/vanilla swirl all in buttercream icing.

Wow, this cake was a lot of work. It's the biggest party cake I've done (feeds 50). Chocolate Cake with oreo cream filling, and Bavarian Yellow cake with whipped chocolate ganache. Characters are color flow. Cakes covered in mmf and dusted with white shimmer. Chocolates are luster dusted with gold, silver and super pearl. Sea weed and flowers are royal icing....had a lot of fun with this one. Inspiration came from sugarshack...much thanks to all my cc friends who helped with all my silly Q's.

This was my first paid wedding cake. Three tiered, Chocolate, Strawberry and Vanilla/Chocolate marble with fresh roses and greenery. I hated working with the pillars, and will avoid them if at all possible. It doesn't look quite as bad as I thought at the reception site, but there's room for improvement, definitely! ha!

When a couple adopted an 8 month old, the ladies at church gave them a shower. I did everything very last minute just before the shower. The letters & booties are fondant - used cookie cutters. The back of the booties is coated w/white chocolate so they would stand upright (didn't have time for them to dry). They are dusted w/luster dusts.

This is a strawberry cake with dark chocolate BC on 8 inch base and regular BC with strawberry filling on 6 inch top. Dragonflies, flowers and leaves are all edible molded from Pettinice. Your critique for positive improvement would be especially welcome.

This wedding cake was for a large non-traditional wedding. I struggled with this cake for weeks-as some of you in the forums know. The cakes were strawberry, chocolate, and vanilla all with buttercream decorations. The bride chose blue, orange, and yellow because they were her colors.

My 1st attempt at tiered cake. 8" & 6" rounds. Also first time using the comb on sides of cake. Hadn't made roses since taking course 1 in April, they could be better. Used straws as supports & wooden dowel in center to stabilize.

This was my first tiered cake - my sister had a circus party for my niece and wanted a carousel. I learned ALOT from my mistakes on this cake! I am really proud how it turned out. My sister loved it but more importantly so did my niece - all she could think about was pulling one of the cones off the top to eat! Thanks for looking!

The tier sizes are 14, 10 & 6. This was set up on a boat that would cruise a local lake for a few hours. I hope it stayed together!
The bride provided the fishbowls and everything in them (aquarium stuff like seashells, plastic plants & a fish (NO, I would NOT let her use real fish! as she wanted to) Shells are molded candy melts.
