My friend graduated from Dental Assisting School and all her family said was we wanted a tooth cake with a graduation hat. This is what I came up with. Everyone was very impressed and loved it. It's a Yellow Cake with a French Vanilla Frosting and covered in Buttercream that's been Viva'd (Fondant gave me too much trouble). Base covered in extra fondant we had.

Mother of the child gave me the fondant horse silhouette to use for the cake, which she had made with her daughter. So I built the theme around that. The blurred edges of the horse actually are crystal 'sprinkles'. That part looks better in person, although my rainbow technique clearly needs improvement. But this mom was THRILLED so I am happy! :)

I call this my "dump cake''...My daughter was having some friends over for a pool party ...I had a cake and alot of leftover buttercream in the freezer so I just used all my leftovers and made this cake. It actually led to an order for another one!!!

Peace Tie Dye Cake - The tie dye on the cake doesn't show very well. It is a light blend of colors.

A disaster from the get-go. Tried for a tie-dye theme...nothing worked. Ended up dipping a cosmetic sponge in vodtka/food coloring and "sponge painting". And originally my peace sign was upside down. Tasted good though :)

This is my favorite cake so far! A little girl in my son's 5th grade class facebooked me and wanted me to make a tie dye with a blue top and a multi colored bow on top for her mom as a surprise. She paid for it with her own money. Her grandmother called me a few days after they picked up the cake and thanked me for taking a young kid serious about doing a cake for her. It literally made my day.

This was for my niece and nephew, whose birthdays are a week apart. He plays the guitar, and she loves all things groovy. It is a 2-layer chocolate cake with cookies and cream filling. Frosted in all buttercream, and a FBCT for the guitar (made from a pic of his actual guitar!).
