For my daughter's 8th birthday. The cakes are buttercream with MMF accents. Zebra stripes are modeling chocolate and leopard spots are painted on the buttercream. Leopards are MMF with tylose added. My daughter had fun helping roll the tie-dye fondant balls.

Double tier butter cream icing with fondant peace signs and funky flowers. Made for a young woman's 21st Birthday. I'm sorry I did not get a picture of it cut, but the vanilla flavored cake was tie dyed too. (that was a learning experience!)

As stated in the title, this was my cake show entry. Don't think it will win, but all the tween girls loved it. The other pic is of the back of the cake. I didn't know what to do with the back, but I didn't want to leave it blank (I wasn't sure if they would take off points for it).

Just learned how to do the tie-dye effect at class tonight. Chocolate cake w/MMF. Giving this to my friend for her birthday tomorrow. She is a big LSU fan, which is why I chose the colors.

This is a yellow cake with marshmallow fondant for bottom larger 2 layer, store bought fondant (just mixed together) for the tie dye look, and peanut M&M's around small layer and larger layer. I always freeze my cake layers (a good full day) after I let them cool out of the oven - this makes them easier to frost, moist, and delicious! This was for my niece's 10th birthday and she loved it! I offered to make a college graduation cake for some friends, and they wanted it based on the movie "Cool Runnings"! So here's a spiral cake, complete with tie-dye/ afrikaan design in honor of Sanka Coffie from the movie, and the bobsled!

The Cake is made from a 5" cake that is three layers thick, and a 10" cake that is also 3 layers thick. they are iced with chocolate cream cheese frosting, and the rest is buttercream or fondant.

My niece wanted an iCarly cake with peaces signs and hearts. And she wanted it funky. This is what I came up with. Cake is strawberry and white, filled with milk chocolate ganache and white chocolate strawberry ganache and covered in Indydebi's Crisco-Based Buttercream Icing and MMF. The laptop is RKT covered in MMF. The peace signs could have turned out better. Blah. I'm a rookie, so comments and advice are always welcome. Thanks for looking!

This was for class 2 of the Wilton Basics class. Chocolate cake with reaspberry fudge filling and buttercream. Idea came from a tie dye cake here. I traced the swirls on with a toothpick and then just filled in and around with stars in 4 colors. Very fun and festive.

I used the Wilton mold. The base is made out of white chocolate and instead of using the mold for the cupcake bottom, I used 5 inch cakes, carved a bit. These cakes were also the smash cake so I liked that I was able to just pop them out and let the kid go to town.

This was a cake for an ice skater who wanted tie dye fondant. It turned more purple than anything, but I think it was fine anyway. The skater is made of fondant/gumpaste mix.

I made this cake for my sisters sweet 16. This is a combo of everything she loves. The top cake is chocolate ganache covered strawberry cake with strawberry filling decorated for 4th of July which she was born close to. The middle cake is tie-dyed fondant with fondant peace signs and candy daisies. The cake inside is also tie-dyed white cake with keylime mousse filling. The bottom cake is NY city skyline at night with decorated with fondant buildings and edible silver glitter for the stars and buttercream frosting. The inside is orange cake with whipped bettercreme filling. Unfortunately that day was super hot & my a/c in my van was not working & the cake suffered a little but it made it there fine & she was very happy with the cake.

This was for a manager in my mom's office. His daughter was turning 11 and is in love with peace signs so this was a no brainer for me. I looked around on here and other websites and combined some of those pictures/ideas into one cake. I even tie dyed the cake batter. It came out amazing. I hope they enjoyed it.
