For a 4 year old girl who loves Thomas the train. I am a little disappointed in the blemishes and bubbly buttercream, but overall I think it turned out pretty cute. I hope the birthday girl likes it anyway!

Two marble pound cakes of chocolate, almond, raspberry and rum baked in simple loaf pans, torted and filled and then simply iced. Decorated with fondant train tracks and fondant pepples with the help of my five year old. The thomas tank engines are toy trains.

Please don't mind the finger of the birthday boy that wanted to taste thomas. This was a fun cake to make, trees are ice crem cones, grahm crackers for the dirt, pretzel rods are holding the two engines together & mini donuts for the wheels.

This is a 3D cake of Thomas the Tank, along with Annie and Clarabel. The tracks are licorice Twizzlers. Wilton wedding rings were linked together to hook each "car" together.

Okay, here's my shot at Thomas the Train. Used Wendy's tutorial for help with carving the cake. Instead of bc, covered mine in fondant. I find it alot easier to work with. Unfortunately, I carved the engine smaller than Thomas' face so I'm crazy with the way that looks. And the dimensions are alittle off. Oh well, I know what to do next time. ;-)

This is a replica of a cake I did just about a month ago. I
really don't like doing the same cake more than once but the creative
juices just weren't flowing. I decided not to exert myself and just do
the same thing because I still have 2 more cakes to do this weekend
LOL! Thomas is a FBCT.

Thomas the Tank Engine cake made using Wendy's tutorial... thank you!!! This went together quite smoothly. I used MMF for the face and should have done it much sooner, as I had to freeze it to make it solid for the party. I used a 12x18 sheet pan

Thomas the Train is actually sitting on a 2 piece puzzle track, you wind him up and he goes round and round. the top tier is chocolate (it's the birthday boys favorite) with a chocolate pudding filling. The bottom tier is a french vanilla cake with a vanilla buttercream filling

This was for my sons' 1st and 3rd birthday party. It is almost and exact copy of a cake by Courtney Clark of Cake Nouveau. I was happy with how it turned out!

Bday cake for friend's 3 and 5 year old boys. Chocolate cake with buttercream frosting. Used combination of Thomas tutorial and other instructions found on another website (sorry Cake Central!). First stab at it, the kids loved it - but it is CAKE after all! :)

This is a birthday cake for a little girl of one of the director's where I work. It is my first carved cake...Design from Debbie Brown's book and thanks to Merissa who gave me tips on how to do this! I was pretty pleased with it overall and I really learned a lot...mostly that it takes ages to do!!!! Thanks for looking!

this wasn't the orginal plan for this cake, but was inspired by CAMBO :) We canceled the 3D train pan at the last minute due to illness. We used the little girls Thomas collection instead. Used 14 inch round, iced in BC and airbrushed in the brown area. Pink trimmings are fondant.
