My nephew begged me for a cake while they were visiting for Thanksgiving. So I made this quick cake while they were at the Cowboy's game. It's just a 10" round cake w/ bc icing.

okay, so this one was inspired by stvsbabygirl. My daughter saw it while I was looking for ideas for my fair project! She had to do it. She did so well! There were supposed to be vienna fingers standing up on the back row, but we had problems getting them to stay there so we just left them off. Chocolate cake with buttercream and chocolate fudge icing! Sprinkles, candy corn, icecream cone for hat, fruit by the foot for beard, Black fondant and gummy fruit! Entered into our local fair...2 days til results!

Thanks to sue_dye for the inspiration for this one. I entered this into our local fair today. Three 8 inch layers with shaved 6 inch layer as lid. Royal flowers, indian corn and cattails. MMF ghost with food writers used for eyes. First time I actually made the "daisies" (brown eyed susies) the right way. I had to dowl the lid but since I had to have it "All Edible," I used a candy stick! I hope it holds it, it has to last a week on display! I wanted to use the Jack-o face but I thought it would be too much

Well Here it is my attempt at a carved turkey! A HUGE Thanks to Miss Missy for posting the directions here in the forums. It wouldn't crust over, so I couldn't press for the skin pattern. I like the outcome though..

My Husband knew better though....I hate to cook anything.....nevermind Poultry!

This is one of my favorites, so pleased with how it turned out & it was super easy! Ivory buttercream icing, silk floral decoration. I used the champagne cake recipe on this site, which was good but we couldn't taste the champagne (should have added some champagne to the frosting). I had a few comments that it had a sugar cookie flavor- it was yummy! This was for my sister-in-law's rehearsal dinner.

My daughter made this for Thanksgiving (we're Canadian - Thanksgiving was this past weekend!). The only help I gave her was smoothing out the icing a little on the sky and the pumpkin. She was very proud of this cake!

Two bundt cakes give the pumpkin its shape and an ice cream cone serves as the stem. Both pumpkin and stem are iced in buttercream and the pumpkin icing smoothed before adding the final ridge details.

Okay, here's my turn at making one of those bundt pan pumpkins. The leaves are fondant brushed with luster dust. The pumpkin was first covered in bc then fondant, brushed with copper luster dust. The stem is an ice cream cone, brushed with Wilton brown gel color. It was one of the easier cakes I've made, thanks to JulieBugg and Ksue's instructions! I really enjoyed it. :-D

I got this design from the Wilton website. It's called Gobble It Up. I like the way it came out but it was alittle time consuming. ;-)
