Just did this cake last week. The bride loves sunflowers, so I used silk sunflowers. The tealish ribbon is real satin ribbon--same color as on the bride's dress! Bottom and top tiers are chocolate with mocha ganache. The middle tier is vanilla with strawberry filling. All covered with white buttercream then rolled fondant that I order from Choco Pan. Excellent fondant--easy to work with and a great white chocolate flavor!!!!

My daughter has a summer birthday, so she brought this to school to celebrate her "un-birthday" with her class. The school requests that cakes be sent in pre-cut, so I really didn't bother with a fancy design. Cookie cake decorated in buttercream with fondant flowers and banner.

8 inch and 6 inch rounds in lemon cake with lemon curd filling, BC icing, fondant/gumpaste accents and royal icing daisies. Colors matched with plates for party. My first attempt at a looped bow, not a great looking one, but it was just for my daughter. She LOVED it!

Teal is BC, 7 inch round cake, brown is chocolate satin ice mixed with some white toba's to lighten it. Shoe is made with gumpaste (Nic. Lodge recipe) - hand molded heel, cutter sole from Global Sugar Art, and completely hand cut upper. I didn't make a pattern I just pieced it as I went. You can see the shoe my SIL gave me to match! NO MORE PUMPS for me! This was hard! Dry dusted with copper and bronze. Inside painted with bronze and cut with scrapbook scissors. I also cut the tag with them.

The bride said her colors of teal, blue and clover were "pop art colors" and since she is my cousin and not your usual bride, I felt a POP ART cake was what I should do, and she LOVED IT. I had no idea what it was going to be until it was done, I brought dried pastillage pieces, wire and globs of fondant then created it on site ~kinda fun to just wing it :)

This was the first time I set up on site ( nervous). I've never had more than three tiers before. So I always stacked the teirs at home. 6" 8" 10" & 12" tiers with four 8" . Dark chocolate fudge with raspberry filling and dark chocolate fudge with bc filling, white chocolate with whipped cream filling and banana cream with bc filling. Black damask tranfer icing sheets with teal fondant ribbon. The bride wanted the cake to have the same damask design and teal ribbon stripe to match her invitations.

Hi sugar friends!
LOVED doing this cake, loved the colors! The teal/green was difficult to get, had to mix like 6 colors, but nailed the swatch, I was sooo happy! The diamonds are cut using the three diamond quilter (this is the tool I normally use to quilt my cakes) The elepants at the top symbolize good luck. Thanks for peeking!

Thrilled with how this one came out - inspired by Debbie Brown's cake Baby Dragon. Fondant over chocolate cake. Love her cakes. Easy to figure out with out a lot of talent. Purple edible crushed glitter. over a teal dragon.
For a 3 year old boy.

Whhoooopps!!! I almost forgot to make this smash cake to go with the balloons birthday cake I made yesterday. I cut the tiers from a one layer cake with cookie cutters. They're about 4" and 3" in diameter.

Made this for my sister's grad party. My mother had already bought the napkins & plates so I took the design off of that. Only the fourth cake I've made without classes. Turned out really nice. Top layer has choc fudge pudding filling & bottom layer has straw/bananas/vanilla pudding filling. Short on time so used decorating icing. Fondant decorations & bow. Used directions on back of rolled fondant box for bow & painted with silver/blue luster dust. Finally start classes next week(O:

This cake was for a quinceanera and was my second stacked cake, my first topsy turvy, and my first using wired decorations. The two flowers are fondant and there are a couple of fondant butterflies (might not be able to see them). The heat was making the butterflies soft so only a few got added. The sizes were 6", 9", and 12" and the flavors were banana, Kahlua Caramel, and WASC. Thanks to all the CC'ers who answered questions for me about this type of cake and to pinkcakebox.com for the inspiration.

This is more or less a practice cake. I despair of ever getting smooth BC. The pattern ended up being really busy, and I miscalculated where a couple of the designs ended up. I used leaf shaped cookie cutters to get more uniform shapes, but they tended to be too 'fat' for my liking. I tried using tip 301 for the outlines but it didn't work very well. The icing was thin enough to come out a 01S, so I have no idea why that didn't work. I do like some of the variations, though.

This is a 10" square cake covered in BC. The argyle pattern was made with the diamond impression mat. I then used the mat to press into rolled out chocolate clay then cut each shape by hand and placed them on in an argyle pattern this cake is for my daughter's 18th birthday. She loves argyle.

OMG, I was so happy to be finished with my first wedding cake. I had tons of problems with the design, the icing, and even getting it to the reception. I was in the wedding and we were almost an hour late getting there so the cake was set very quickly (5-10 minutes) with help from friends. So, it isn't straight, butit made it. The icing is indydebi's bc with teal fondant pearls, roses and leaves. All in all Also, did a harley FBCT with their names. They really liked it.

Bottom tier is chocolate with nutella/buttercream filling, top tier french vanilla with apricot/buttercream filling. My friend requested a purple and teal cake for his birthday. All the decorations are fondant/gumpaste mix - the cube on top was put together with royal icing.
