A Lady came in and had seen some of my tattoo cakes.
Her daughters name is Countess, so I put this together for her.
It tured out really good but I think I should have added more stars at the top though.

This was designed by the bride and groom... every thing to their specifications.. they provided us color pictures of their tattoos and where they wanted them on the cake, the colors etc. We were really nervous making it, but they LOVED IT! Covered in fondant... the tattoos were drawn on edible images and cut out, then turned over and iced in white BC very carefully and quickly, then frozen. While frozen they are easier to handle, and a few dots of DC helps them stick... colors won't bleed.

This is my first (ever) fondant cake. I did it for my son's 26th birthday. I used an image my son had done up for a tattoo he got of his son Aidyn (my grandson) using black buttercream frosting.
I did not take any classes but checked out a book from the library and was inspired. I know it's not perfect but I am so happy the way it turned out...just wanted to share and would love to hear and feedback or comments. This may be my first fondant cake but definitely will not be my last. thanks for looking and any feedback.

Chocolate WASC cake fully covered in fondant. I've included the picture of an actual tattoo gun to compare. The cake was too big to get the whole thing in one camera shot, so part of the cake is missing from the picture. Thanks for looking!

birthday cake for husband and wife (birthdays within a couple of days of each other) Husband has a tattoo of he and his wife as lego people on his leg (not joking). Request was for a stacked lego cake with a recreation of them as they are in the tattoo plus a baby lego to represent the baby they just had. I was rushed in taking the pics and they didnt come out great (a little condensation still on the fondant from the fridge which evaporated by the time I delivered). I am also posting a pic of the tattoo

This was the b'day cake for the friends doughter. She wanted me to put one of her graphic on the cake, but didn't provide template on time, than she said "do whatever you want", and I made this one.

Probably the most unusual cake request yet - from my boyfriend's son for his 16th birthday. He wanted a duplication of the poster he has of the lead singer of his favorite band - "Suicide Silence." I carved the body from a 9x13 WASC, covered in fondant & handpainted, including the tattoos.

I decided to make my own bday cake this year. (my 40th, so I wanted it to be special) I love old school tattoos and flash, so here's my version of a Sailor Jerry cake.
All buttercream. Pinup, nautical stars, anchor and swallow are all frozen buttercream transfers (My first!) Cake was lemon poppyseed with each layers filled with banana, pineapple and strawberry, respectively. Also a first were my gumpaste roses... its not perfect, but I love this cake. Its just what I wanted.

Wow-Thank you to everyone that has commented. I did not expect so much praise. THANK YOU. Here is some info about it. I made it for my partner who is mad about skulls so I thought ED HARDY. The cake was covered in fondant an then air brushed black and splattered with some bright color. The skull and heart were modeled from white chocolate and then hand painted. All the rest was made from Gum paste and hand painted. The flamed were air brushed. The whole cake was finished off with an edible ink marker to create the "tattoo" look. the sides were finished with a design I had printed on rice paper.

I asked my friend what she wanted a cake of and she told me she wanted a replica of her butt. I think she was kidding, but I gave her exactly what she asked for! Haha. She ended up loving it. The "cheeks" are made from the Wilton Ball pan, placed on a sheet cake and carved. Then everything is iced in buttercream.
