This is a cake done for a friends daughter - he was so nervous to drive it home - he joked that he was going to get some of his police co-workers to give him an escort to get it home safely. I loved that the dad was so giddy to give it to his daughter! It took me 21 hours to complete this (my longest time yet). I incorporated a soundcard in the cake that played one of the songs from the movie when the "rock" was lifted...the little girl was apparently in love with it!

My friend and I made this cake for our other friend's daughter's 6th bday. The cake is yellow with a strawberry filling and buttercream icing, the tower is RKT and MMF. Thanks for all the inspiration from this site, I closely modeled it after another cake I found on here. This is the first time we have ever used RKT for anything and we deff need some practice, the tower was leaning and had to be taken off the cake before we were ready to cut it or it would have fallen!!!!

I made this for my granddaughter's 4th birthday. The bottom is a 3-layer 1/2 sheet chocolate cake covered in chocolate bc. The hills are WASC with bc. The tower is PVC pipe covered in fondant. Rapunzel is a toy. The layout design came from a cake by Bizzers here on CC. My DIL saw it and loved it. I did change the tower design. Thank you, Bizzers, for your inspiration. It took many hours, but seeing the smile on Kayton's face made it worth the effort.

This was my first rectangle cake, 2nd time working with fondant. There are a lot of imperfections and I know what I will do differently next time. The base is frosted in buttercream with rice krispie tower covered in fondant and fondant details. I took a lot of my ideas from other Tangled tower cakes already posted on this site so thanks everyone for the inspiration.

Whew! This one is finally done! Where to begin? Ok, it is completely edible aside from the 3/8" head-shaped cutout to support the head. I used ganache, buttercream, fondant, modeling chocolate, gumpaste, royal icing and RKT for this one (what *didn't* I use!) :) This was a lot of fun to make, but also a lot of work! TFL!

This cake was made for a set of twins in our family for their 5th birthday. The tower is made of fondant/gumpaste mix in three sections; the base was supported by three dowel rods. The top of the tower has wallpaper inside to reflect the interior design (doors, furnishings, etc.) illuminated with a small led light designed to be used in balloons. The flowers are fondant/gumpaste mix, the trees are ice cream cones covered with royal icing and the rocks are made of chocolate. When I first started I had no idea if the tower would stand but it worked out beautifully and everyone loved it.

Pascal from Tangled cake done for Kolbi, my most loyal customer who turned 7 this year! My husband used his new welder to construct a frame for this one so Pascal didn't have to be lying down (I'm so blessed to have a husband who enjoys my hobby nearly as much as I do!). Pascal's body is Chocolate Cavity Maker with Marion berry filling and head and tail are RKT and Candy Clay - both covered in fondant and airbrushed; side bday cake also covered in fondant, fondant details. Mini cupcakes dipped in Candy Melts and then covered in Candy clay imprinted with design that mimicked the feel of the movie.
Two things on this cake that bothered me and probably will forever.... First, I did not emboss the fondant I used to cover the body thinking I could do it once it was on the cake - bad idea - so the head and tail have a nice scaly appearance and the body doesn't! Second, my original design included a tail that was color shifting to match the bday cake (he's a chameleon after all).... I just ran out of time. Had I known that would happen, I'd have curled the tail in that adorable Pascal fashion! If anyone else wants to use that idea, I'd love to see the results!!!

I made pink and purple 8 inch round cakes and covered in strawberry icing/and candied icing...covered with Fondant. I really wanted the purple blanket with the sun and baby Rapunzel on top with a ducky, horse, lizard, frying pan, book and paint brush. But I ran out of time and only made a few things

Tangled, the new film from Disney, is a princess story based on the fairy tale Rapunzel. The magically long-haired Rapunzel has spent her entire life in a tower, but now that a runaway thief (Flynn Rider) has stumbled upon her, she is about to discover the world for the first time, and who she really is. Handcrafted Rapunzel (completely made with sugar paste). Each shingle on the tower roof is also made with sugar paste.Moist Chocolate cake layered with decadent chocolate truffle filling, iced with fresh Vanilla Buttercream and covered with Vanilla Sugarpaste. This cake was made for a HUGE Tangled fan!! Our little princess loved her cake :-)

I made this cake for a little girl who loves the movie "tangled." Everything is buttercream and the "hair" is made from mmf stretched and folded over and over to give it that look then painted with gold luster dust.

I told my Cousin that I wanted to do something outside my comfort zone, one day in conversation. She remembered that and asked me to do this Tangled Tree House for her daughter's Birthday. WOW! What a lot of work! The tree house is made from rice cereal treats and covered in marshmallow fondant. All the detail work is made from fondant. It took me 13 hours to do this house. Each shingle, scrolled wood work, and flower is put on piece by piece. I finally gave up on the face and printed it on wafer paper, as it didn't look right the first 4 times I did it. Cake is Triple Chocolate Fudge cake with cookies and cream filling. The tree house is supported by a pvc structure that I built. Happy with how it turned out, but glad it's done. TFL

I am making a Tangled Tower Cake like a lot of the ones that have been posted on here. I haven't even assembled my tower but wanted to do something while the kids napped so I made the horse and cameleon from Tangled. I used fondant and gumpaste mixed and just kind of pieced them together from pictures I found on google image. The horse is coming out of a bush, with Pascal looking like he had something to do with the take down. I don't think I am going to do the rear end of the horse, but may change my mind. In the picture on of his ears slipped, but its been fixed. LOL
