This was a wedding cake that I did for the Michael's wedding event. It is a 12" and 8" covered in fondant with fondant ribbon roses (some with pearl stamens). BC accents. I modified one of the cakes out of the Wilton Wedding Cakes - A Romantic Portfolio book.

I was doing a "mock" wedding reception for a youth activity, and I needed a wedding cake, so I came up with this idea. I used a cake by cakesbyjess as my guide and then tweaked it, because I wasn't nearly as good as she is. This pix is minus a cake topper. It is strawberry cake with chocolate filling on the bottom and Lemon with vanilla filling on the top. Covered in MMF. Second wedding cake - this one was much funner, because there was no expectations - and first time making drapes! I need practice

Marbled fondant with silver "stars" and a fondant drape that is really 3 pieces and was placed on-site. The cake is supposed to represent the sky changing day into night and the green marbled swag is the Northern Lights. Topper is white chocolate.

Another version of this one, but using swags on the bottom tier which I liked much better. This photo was taken in my home kitchen where the B&G came to pick it up... the day after they canceled the wedding with 3 hours to spare! I had their cake serving set there, so I took their pix while they cut the first slice and all that. Very strange situation - I wish I had more details!

Cake was 4 tiers all squares 6", 10", 14" and 18" all white with white roses and leaves. She wanted dots on the top then swags on the next then scrolls and then swags on the bottom. She wanted the swags to be different styles. Everything was done in BC.

This cake turned out to be a nightmare. I was very disaapointed in the cake and didn't have time to remake it. The MMF was too stretchy and I couldn't move the swag once it touched the cake. The fondant had holes all over it. I don't know what that was from. Thankfully it was a small family event for my brother and his fiance'.

I made this for a baby dedication. I used oval pans to make the base and I used rice crispy for the top because I thought that would travel better and it did. Mostly used fondant for decorating. I made bows all around by hand- took a long time.

UGH! Lots of mishaps with this cake, but finished, delivered, and done. Bottom tier was a dummy, all fondant covered, fondant swags and bows. Candlestick provided by Bride to be and replicating a photo out of a magazine(dont know who made the original though!)

This was my second attempt at fondant swags and I was a little anxious. I was happy how they turned out. I put them on the tiers before leaving the kitchen and then stacked the cakes on site and added the fibbon roses. I was a big fan of the color choices of the bride, it felt a little baby shower, but it worked with her reception site.

Another attempt with Satin Ice fondant, this time working around the corners of the hexagon pan. The cake is a yellow butter cake filled with chocolate buttercream, Dad's favorite flavor combination. I had no idea how long painting with luster dust was going to take, but I really love the effect.

I made a similar cake for my Gumpaste class final and had to do an anniversary cake with no guidance so I decided to do a similar one, no fondant though it is chocolate cake on bottom, layer of fudge, layer of raspberry, then almond poppy seed cake. All covered in Cream Cheese frosting. It is a surprise for the couple so I hope they like it.
