I had the honor of making this cake for my dad and stepmom's renewal ceremony. Five tier, each a different flavor and designed after her gown. Flowers are artificial. Covered in fondant with ivory luster dust. Thanks for looking!

I entered this cake in the Cake Decorators of Tidewater Cake Show. (First time ever entering a show) I got third place, which I am really proud of since I really need a lot of work on my fondant and gumpaste flowers. But either way, I am very proud of my cake whether I had won a place or not. :-) Enjoy

This was my first attempt at fondant roses and a fondant swag. The roses I think turned out OK, But I would be fine with never having to do another swag again. Maybe it's just me...who knows.

My mom and I made this for her friend's daughter (along with the basketball groom's cake in my photos). They had HUNDREDS of extra (party size) servings, but we couldn't talk them out of it. If it could go wrong with these cakes, it did. Ack! Thank goodness cornelli lace covers a lot of sins. ;-) We couldn't physically do the design the bride wanted (standard swags of fondant crossing each layer) because of the scale of this cake, but we tried to give her a similar effect.

Frank and his bride's wedding cake. Three-tier cake in autumn flavors. Fondant covered and airbrushed with light silver luster. Delicate extension stringwork surrounds bottom tier. Black-gothic roses and pulled flower spray separate the second tier and top off the cake. Fondant swags and tassels on second tier. A fondant "F" monogram and RI scrolls on top tier. Hope you enjoy looking!

This is the first wedding cake I made. Unfortunatley, it's not for an order, but rather I wanted to make one for practice since I had never done one before. Im pretty happy with the outcome. It was also the first time I have done swags/drapes and swag flowers. All fondant except cornelli lace which is hand piped buttercream. TFL!
