I made these for my boyfriend to take to a super bowl party. It made my day just to see how happy he was when he saw that they weren't "ordinary" cupcakes. lol

This cake was made for my family's yearly super bowl party. Cake was strawberry cheesecake cake... cut in the shape of the logo, and then the logo was cut out of fondant... very time consuming. similar to decopage... looks cool

This is not an original and huge kudos to the blogger that gave such great instructions on how to do this! Just google "Spiderman bust cake" and you will find this dear soul!

Made for my friend Mario's birthday. Mario is his favorite Nintendo character, I wonder why? lol. White cake with crusting buttercream. I free-handed Mario from a picture I found online using a small star tip.

Ice cream cake, whipped icing. Buttercream field, and borders. Superbowl logo, superbowl rings, and goal posts - all plastic. Used tip #789 for grass rows (ran a piece of scotch tape length-wise over tip to minimize the thickness). The kids really liked those rings.

A gift for my son's close friend. Mario FBCT, drawing done by birthday boy's father who is a video game artist, I did the transfer from his drawing. 11x15" Choc. cake, buttercream icing, fondant accents. I was so excited that the family loved it, they just asked for Mario and they are good friends, so I surprised them with the game board around the sides and they were thrilled. I love making cakes and seeing the big smiles on their faces :). My almost 7 yr. old made the 1ups (little red mushrooms), he had wanted to help with his friend's cake. I was so convinced that I wouldn't be able to use what he made I had told him he should put what he makes aside especially for the bday boy.

This was done for a little boy's 9th birthday. He wanted the green one-up mushroom from Super Mario. The actual mushroom is white cake covered in fondant with the child's name in the front circle. The cupcakes were chocolate iced with buttercream and topped with a fondant circle with the number 9 in the center.

This was a dark chocolae fudge cake with Extra Special Chocolate Buttercream Icing. Since my son wanted ALL those characters, I had them made into an edible image (cheating, I know, but I don't have the talent other people do and I can't draw!)

The 4 year old birthday boy wanted a 'Super Hero Pirate Ship', so this is what I came up with. Chocolate cake, fondant deck and modeling choc. on the outside of the ship. BC accents and plastic super heros. He loved it! He almost couldn't believe his eyes, just like I almost couldn't believe what kind of cake he wanted :-)

This is the smallest oval pan, cake is strawberry, bc- vanilla. I used a bat cutout which I traced onto the top of the cake then filled in and smoothed out. I made this little boy's first birthday cake too....thought that was neat! I am a CSM and as always, Thanks for looking!

This is my son's 6th b-day Mario cake, it took the better part of a day, but he and all the kids LOVED it. Rave reviews even though I notice all my flaws. I really need to get better at cutting fondant. There has to be a better way. But I am proud all the same. Big thanks to juleebug for the top, your directions were awesome.

This was a quick throw together cake for a double birthday party on a budget. Each of the cakes were a different flavor (preferences from parents) chocolate and vanilla. It was really funny the little guys on top of the cake cost more than the construction and supplies lol.
