I made this cake for a little boy who just couldn't make his mind up so we ended up with a Spiderman, Power Ranger, Batman Cake. This is a 13 x9 cake so I didn't have a lot of room for the bday msg so again I pulled out my scrapbook supplies and created the comic book like msg and attached them to lollipop sticks.

HA! HA! HA! This is my "Man-Faced" Wonder Woman cake!
Cake is obviously from an old character pan, but it was missing the part for the face, so
I kind of had to free-hand it. She looks a little Tranny-ish, but oh well...everyone liked her.

Made this for DH & I for our bdays (they are 2 days apart). We are both big Nintendo/Mario fans and I knew he would love this. It is a surprise. The pipe and flower are RKT w/ 1/2" dowel running through it all for stem/support. Fondant covered & fondant figures. Wanted to add more to it but DD was sick with the flu last night & needing me today so I was too wiped out to do more :) Cake is an 8" round. Many thanks to all the mario cakes here and on the net that gave the inspiration for this!

I made this cake to take to my sons classroom for his early birthday celebration
His birthday is in July (he will be 5) but since school will be out the teacher wanted all the summer kids to have a chance to celebrate at school so I made this cake for him. Mario is his favorite character I can't wait to see what my son and all the kids will say when they see this cake. I'll post an update. Thanks to msauer for the instructions.

I had so many problems with this cake, it's not even funny! My nephew's party theme was Super Mario Bros. but he likes more the yellow turtle monster (I don't know the name) my MIL told me she wanted Mario to be the main component of the cake so I somehow had to do it, my original idea went down when the SI I ordered didn't arrive on time, plan B went to the drain when trying to do my MMF my KA broke down so this is plan C. A lot of time wasted and couldn't finish it OT, monster is fondant he loved it.

Thanks to brekka for her inspiration for this cake. I had the paper that came with the pan, but loved her version much better. It is yellow cake with buttercream icing. I did this for my brother-in-law who thought it was "pretty cool". Thanks for looking.

I made this cake for the Super Dad's in my life. I drew the "Super Dad" on paper and then used the pin prick method to put it onto the cake. I then piped it onto the cake. The cake was the White Almond Sour Cream recipe only I didn't have almond flavoring so I used lemon flavoring.

Ok...I don't know exactly who did this cake before me but I know it must have been someone at CC...thank you. This was a 12" square I believe that I just carved from a template I created. It was tricky but worth it. It is a buttercream background with fondant accents.

I made this for my son's 9th birthday. It is my first attempt at a scalloped top cake. Not perfect, but when he got home from school he said "this is the coolest cake I've ever seen". Gotta love that!

Did this cake awhile back, I forgot all about it. Have to says thanks to melmcgill who had the original cake that I copied. This was the first cake I did where I had no problem covering it in fondant and it was the first time I used MMF. I was very happy with the results and I heard the BD boy was too.

This is a pretty basic cake, one round layer over a square layer which I cut to look like feet. The feet and the top are covered in fondant, the face is with black frosting (I used a chocolate base) and the eyes are fondant.

I made this cake for my sons 5th birthday. This is all MMF, I cut each detail out and pieced it together like a puzzle (very time consuming).

This was the cake I made for my sons 7th birthday. Cupcakes were`death by chocolate with vanilla bc and mmf decorations. Main cake's bottom tier was designed to look like a walk through the game board. Cake was buttermilk devils food with vanilla buttercream and a layer of crushed ores and covered in mmf. Got inspiration from many photos online and especially msauer for Marios face! Cupcakes based on designs by clever cupcakes on flickr. Thanks for looking!
