Summer bonnet with Wattle (first attempt, so much fun!) and a yellow ribbon and bow to match. Special birthday request. I hope the dents that happened due to the heat give it a more realistic look!! :D

the cake is covered in fondant, the pool it made from a cupcake covered in fondant also. The water is pipping gel, and the duck is made fron gumpaste. it was for a 7 year old's birthday. She loved it.

I was asked to make an end of year cake for my daughter's class. This is a sheet cake with half chocolate, half white, with chocolate and white chocolate mousse filling. All BC. I wanted to try something different so I used stencils for the first time. TFL

White cake made with rum and pina colada mix. Pineapple coconut filling and icing made with coolwhip, pineapple, rum, pina colada mix and vanilla pudding......top it all off with a pineapple slice and a cherry. It's heaven in a glass!!

I made this cake for the 2008 Cake show I was in. I didn't place, but I had so much fun and I learned alot. I am looking forward to the next one! This cake is a foam cake covered in fondant. All the accent peiced are hand made by me out of fondant.

this cake was finished at 10 o clock at night with the power out! I had to suspend a flahslight over my workspace and pray that it wouldn't fall into my cake.

All buttercream. I made the vase from molded sugar and decorated with fondant leaves. I made the sunflowers and daisies from fondant. This pic is really crooked. :(

I made this for my niece's pool party birthday. She is the one on the yellow seal. All the little characters had such personality. Cake covered in buttercream, fondant figures, piping gel pool, gumpaste diving board and royal icing palm trees. I think that covers all cake decorating mediums : )

The number 3 on top was made using a alphabet cutter and fondant, as were the words on the cake. The flipflops, Palm trees and the little Girl were made from Fondant too. The little flower Lei around the girls neck and also the one laying on top of the cake...were made by cutting out little circle shapes with the end of a icing tip, then making a little print in them with another tip... then I used a needle and thread to loop them together. Everything else was made from Buttercreme.

The icing is whipped topping with green food coloring, used graham cracker sticks for the fence, marshmallows cut in half for the floats and red licorice for the pool divider, teddybear grahams for the "people", fruit roll-ups for the beach towels, blue jello for the pool water, and gummy life savers for the inner tubes in the pool.....

This cake has all handmade, gumpaste decorations. Three tiers - bottom tier was 14 inches, middle tier was 9 inches, top tier was 7 inches. Top tier had bonfire on top but did not come out in picture. Will add another view of this cake to this site.
