Big daisy - inspiration from Lindsy Smith. Butterfly is gumpaste with RI veins. Roses had to be on a "stick", for the boy to give to his friends - slowly removed the wire and "glued" a stick in its place with RI and prayer. 1st time roses - thanx Verina for your inspiration

This cake co-celebrated my boyfriend's and his father's birthdays which were on the same day. The family joke has been that, in past years, his father claimed the rights to the birthday. This last year he 'legally' transfered the rights to his son! My boyfriend loves playing roller hockey...hence the decorations. The 1 candle is for my boyfriend, the 0 candle is for his father. Guess that means I'm a cradle robber!!!

wow! I really had a hard time with this one! I had everything planned out accordingly and when I got to doing the outside with my already dried hardware...I hadn't done the fondant right on the top and the bottom...and the cake just wasn't high enough. So, I had to make due with what I had with the hardware and make bigger pieces of fondant for the top and bottom. Everything you see here is fondant! This is my first ALL fondant cake! Thanks for looking! I am a Critique Subgroup Member

chocolate sugar cookies with white chocolate candy clay painted with food coloring. The picture isn't that great, the pail that they were in had a blue flower, a ladybug, and a yellow flower on it, it's kinda hard to see though

This was for a family who was finalizing the adoption of their youngest child. I was in a hurry so it didn't end up quite as well as I'd have liked but the kids liked that they were on the cake.

This was a fun cake to make. I used a 4x4x2 square pan and cut to size. White and chocolate cake. Fondant covered and accents. I didn't think there would be enough cake, so my husband suggested the scoreboard. Great idea! I used the dob of May 6 for the time and put the birthday boy and his brother's name. I could have put their ages or the year of birth for their score, but decided to make it a tie. I hope they like it! Thanks for looking.

this was supposed to look like Udon Soup. Noodles are fondant pushed through clay gun, GP chopsticks, happy birthday written in Japanese. I baked the cake in a pyrex bowl. originally I made noodles and poured gelatin over them to make the "soup" but the "noodles" disolved so I put the gelatin down and then squeeed more noodles on top, not what I had hoped for but a quick fix as I was leaving to go to the party. also the gelatin turned into a melted mess, next time I will use piping gel for the soup

This is a cake that I did for our family party. As we grew up everyone at one time or another sat around the campfire making lots of yummy treats. It's a strawberry lemonade cake with Vanilla buttercream. The camp fire and doughboy sticks (a favorite for our family) are fondant. All the pictures were printed on wafer paper. Picture was taken several hours after little fingers tasted it.

buttercreme logo with fondant hockey sticks. On sides of cake all the years the Canadiens
have won the cup - over 20 times! For a huge fan - insisted on wearing his jersey for photos
and did not want the cake cut up.

This cake was based off of a photo the grooms mom emailed me. Cake is done with 4 10" rounds filled (cardboard halfway through to give 2 separate cakes.) Covered in fondant and airbrushed. Silver trim is silver ribbon. Fastners for drum are fondant pieces placed on a cookie stick and airbrushed silver, adhered with royal. Drum sticks are his drum sticks... he plays in the Marine Corps Band... fun cake, I loved the end result!

Just cake balls from the recipe here on CC... dipped in 2 different chocolates and covered in sprinkles... placed on stick. Did this in sort of a lollipop style for my niece who loves PF's and wanted cutsie mini cakes for her party.

For an 08/08/08 wedding. Thanks to lots of inspiration from CC members. I couldn't find these style chairs anywhere so I made my own out of popsicle sticks. Banana cake for the lower tier, upper is fruit cake, all covered in white chocolate ganache. Cookie crumb 'sand' and white chocolate shells.

This was made for a little girl's 3rd birthday party. The purse topper was a gum paste replica of the party invitation. Also on the top were gum paste toys the mom asked me to include in the cake (pink cell phone, ChapStick and princess dress-up shoes). The bow and plaque were 50/50 gum paste and fondant. This was a fun one to do...I loved the colors. The cake was white (I colored it pink for fun) with layers of vanilla SMBC. It was also iced in SMBC. Thanks for looking!
