The cake was iced in BC...then fondant on the sides and over the dowel legs. Balls are gumballs w/ gumpaste for the circle and painted w/ food coloring. The pool stick is gumpaste along w/ the ball pockets. Took a while to do! They wanted his favorite pool stick..and made to look like his table. The balls are 2 and 9 because he was turning 29.

A birthday cake for my nephew's 10th birthday, made to look like his real drum set. Drums are made of pound cake covered in fondant, cymbols are gumpaste. I tried to include as much detail as possible, including drum sticks, a seat and a foot pedal for the bass drum

Thank you Elisa Strauss for the inspiration on my attempt on her sushi cake. I used he vanilla cake recipe and make one cake with vanilla and one with almond. It was a blast. This was my first attempt and something other than a round, square or shaped pan. TFL

Simple, fall cake using fondant pears, berries, mushrooms & acorns. The inside cake was coconut with coconut buttercream. I airbrushed the fondant to attain a more rustic look.

This is a cake I did for my Grandmother's funeral... I never had the chance to design one for her Birthday, so I thought this would be a nice tribute to her. The cake is covered in buttercream and all of the decorations are made with fondant.

First of all, this was my attempt to do the same as the GREAT bakerella. She is such a great baker/decorator and I give her 100% credit for the design idea. I tried to change some of the details so that they can be a bit different than hers.
Second of all, these seem like they are pretty easy to do, and they are. They are also very time consuming, but well worth it at the end!
Hope you guys like them!!!

This was my first drapery fondant cake. I wish I had a finished picture with all of the floral, but I thought it turned out very interesting with the candle stick in the middle. I actually ended up doing that for my own wedding cake because I really like the height it added to the cake.

This is the wedding cake I made for .... myself! well, and my husband. I made it about 2 months in advance out of styrafoam and fondant because I knew I would be way to crazy to make it when the time came and I also knew it would drive me crazy if someone else did it... :)

These were made for the teachers' lounge at the elem. school. "Hot Chocolate" mugs are each 2 6" rounds iced with bc. One cake is Strawberry and the other vanilla. The handles, peppermint sticks, and snow flakes are fondant. Mini cuppies, or cupcake shots, are strawberry and chocolate. The cookies are my Holiday Peanut Butter Cookies. The plate in the middle is a simple styrofoam plate. I didn't have time to make/ dry a fondant or gumpaste plate.

I made these Christmas Cake Balls (Tree Shape) for our Annual Cookie Exchange Party. They turned out pretty nice. I used white cake mix with cream cheese icing, then dipped in chocolate bark. I decorated each with different sprinkles...the party goers were quite impressed with this entry....no one had ever seen or heard of such a "thing"...yet, there was no hesitation to grab and taste 'em!!! Hit me with a comment or a smiley, please!!! TFL!!!

A birthday cake for my 15 yr. old son. He's the state champion drum set player in his age group. This was my first try at making a tilted wedge cake. I made the wedge too steep so the top cake slid down a little into the bottom cake. All well... I learned something new and I'm sure I'll get it right next time. The cymbal, musical notes and drumsticks are all gum paste. Over all I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out. TFL!
